I walked back to my locker with my towel draped over my shoulder. There was an even split between boys who flushed and averted their eyes from my crotch, and those who flushed but stared. One tall, skinny kid with a mop of brown hair and bright blue eyes gave me a shy smile that revealed teeth that were too large and a little crooked. I stopped and stuck out my hand. "Hi! I'm..." I had to stop myself from giving my old name. "Andrew Parker. Or just Andy."
"Uh, Hi, Andy." The boy flushed even redder, but looked pleased as he took my hand and shook it. "I'm Chuck Reins." I did not have to use demon powers to read the desire coming off him. Besides the raging, if small, boner he was trying to hide, some of the other boys snickered. A quick scan told me Chuck had come out as gay last year, and had suffered for it.
I realized no one had taken the lockers on either side of his, isolating him in the otherwise crowded locker room. "Nice to meet you, Chuck. Mind if I move next door?" I tossed my towel on the bench beside him and grinned. Chuck was flustered and now afraid that this was some sort of cruel joke on my part, not understanding how someone who looked like me might come on to a gawky, homely kid like him. I looked around the locker room. "Just so there is no confusion, I like guys. And if Chuck here is willing, I'd like to kiss him."
That really startled Chuck, and I could read his indecision and fear. I softened my grin to an easy smile. "Sorry if I came on too strong, Chuck. Seriously, I would like to kiss you. Right now. In front of everyone else so they all know I want you. No commitment on your part, OK?"
He wanted it, but was still terrified. Then he nodded slowly, whispering "OK."
I leaned forward and pressed my lips lightly against his, then pulled back. He was bright red now, but grinning. "That's some hello you have there, Andy."
I chuckled and read the confused but very happy thoughts he was having. "I'll show you a real 'hello' after school."
There were some whistles and hoots from other boys as I gathered my street clothes and moved back next to Chuck as we changed. More than a few of our classmates were envious, but there were also a few that were disgusted and had plans to let us know we were not welcome. I found myself hoping that they would try something. I set up a meeting point outside of school with Chuck after classes. Runt had said I could bring friends home. Then again, maybe we would go to Chuck's.
