Tad didn't make it even into the living room before he caught a "ahem" from where Jen Decker stood. Tad paused and looked to his mother, who looked to him with a calm yet still firm look, a typical "mother" look.
"Now, dear, I know you had breakfast, and I commend you for wanting to help your new friends," Jen spoke carefully, "need I remind you that it is presently day time."
"Yeah... but we'll stay in our yard and the pool area," Tad answered, "that's right, isn't it?"
"It may have been awhile since I was in Moon Lake," Jen commented, "but when I was growing up, the only way a pool could be considered "indoors" would be if you had a privacy fence. Something that Moon Lake has had set aside for the weres that tend to do a lot of swimming, usually weremers, wereotters, wereseals and weresealions... as their full were forms aren't very mobile on land."
"The mayor is a weremer," Leon spoke up.
Jen gave a small nod to that. She didn't know all that much, as she and Tad had only just moved back to Moon Lake. Samantha might have mentioned some things, but for the moment, she couldn't remember for sure if Samantha had mentioned the Mayor. Regardless, the issue at hand wasn't who the mayor of Moon Lake was, but following Moon Lake's rules.
"And since we don't have a privacy fence," Jen continued, "neither of us can go outside in were forms until the sun goes down, which isn't anywhere near close."
Tad sighed and looked down and then back to Amy.
"Sorry," he said weakly, "I'd thought that our backyard would allow us to change there... but I didn't know we needed a privacy fence."
"It's okay," Amy answered, "I suppose I should have asked if you had a privacy fence."
Amy was quick to head off for the bathroom again while Jay and Leon looked to Tad as he made his way toward the back door and began to change back into his more human form. His muscles shrank down slightly while his fur receded back inside his skin. Jen breathed a slight sigh of relief as her son transformed back, mostly due to the fact that his swim trunks had looked seriously strained by the increased size of his wolven form. She knew that Awareness made and sold clothing that was very beneficial to weres, that could alter with them as they changed and had openings for their tails to grow through, but she also knew that that really only worked with the smaller were-beasts. Those based off larger animals were too big to wear normal clothing in their were forms.
"We don't mind," Jay answered.
"Will we look like that when it comes time?" Leon asked.
"In the sense of looking like a wolf with great muscles and a noble nature?" Tad answered, "Sure. Though your wolf form will likely be unique to you and will carry the features that you've inherited from your parents."
"And does it hurt?" Jay wondered. "Transforming, I mean?"
"Not after your first transformation," Tad answered, "if you two find either boyfriends or girlfriends before your first transformation... you might get the more traditional "Moon Lake" welcome, which could make your first change painless. If you don't... well, while the first transformation may have some pain, it'll only be temporary."
"Okay," Jay and Leon answered.
"But in the meantime, why don't we just lat that be," Tad answered, "being too worried over things will only give you trouble. That's why I invited you guys over for a swim... Get your mind off of things and give..."
Tad's line of thought came to a rapid halt as Amy came back downstairs in a white bikini with brass rings on the sides of the bikini bottoms and another brass ring in the center of the top giving Tad a clear view of her ample cleavage. Jay and Leon both rolled their eyes at him, especially when Amy only gave a playful giggle at the attention.
"Do you like it?" Amy asked as she came up to Tad and ignoring her brother's looks.
"You look very pretty," Tad managed weakly, and moving his hands to try and keep himself from being aroused. He eventually managed to shake his attention off of Amy's swimsuit.
"You look good too," Amy smiled at him.
"We don't want to be distracted by our sister," Leon spoke with some irritation.
"Yeah," Jay said in agreement.
"Heh... heh... excuse me," Tad answered, and turned to open the back door and lead the group out, taking Amy by the arm as she reached him.
Jen observed the exchange and shook her head with a smile. She was still protective of her son, and that if Amy did anything to hurt Tad, she'd make the female werewolf pay, but for the most part things seemed okay between them And at the same time, she was proud in Tad's willingness to help others.
