Jake wasn't in to any of this freaky shit. So he said, "Fuck off you stupid bitch. I'm sick of dumb bitches like you trying to give me shit."
"You need to learn to stop being so rude." Lauren said without raising her voice.
"Whatever. You can't tell me how to live. I'm in charge of Hampton high. In a month I'll be done with that place and playing college ball and all this small town bullshit will be behind me." Jake said with a grin to himself.
"That's nice but now that your little speech is done, the town curse is real and you're getting both because you refused to respond." Lauren said coolly.
Jake kept listening to her babble.
"For your transformation, whenever you insult someone, you will gain an asset or attribute that you have made fun of. Instead, of it making you more hideous, you will become more sexually desirable with each change. Let's see how much you love yourself at the end of the day."
Jake said, "What kind of a curse is that?"
"I'm not finished. For your dare, you'll go to school today only wearing your jockstrap and only I will think it's strange. That way, everyone can see how much you've changed because of your hateful mouth. Good luck being anything more than a fuckboi."
With that, Lauren hung up the phone.
Jake slammed down the phone and then began to get dressed. Instead of zipping up the jeans he was wearing, he shucked off his jeans and his shirt and went through his clean laundry until he found his jockstrap. Sliding on the protective garment was like breaking a trance.
He tried to grab his pants from where he had thrown them on the bed but he couldn't. "Holy shit! It's real!" He said with a start. Just as he realized that he had no option to change, the bus pulled up and Jake felt compelled to put on his shoes and grabbed his book bag.
He ran out the door and to the bus.
