Zack stepped out onto the street, thinking about all the problems he has had recently. Then it hit him--he shouldn't be focusing on himself when there were so many problems out in the world! But what should he fix first?
Without any consideration at all, he knew what he should do. "All wars just ended and none will ever start again."
At that point, Zack arrived home from the mall. He walked up the driveway, noticed that his mom's car was gone, and walked into the living room. He turned on the television and flipped through the channels until he found the news.
The news was different than it ever had been before. The reporters had stopped reporting about civil wars in far away countries; the first story he heard was about a new scientific study about genetic engineering!
He heard his mom pulling into the driveway and thought of another thing he could change.
"Drugs have never been discovered, and Mom is coming home to tell me that she just got hired for a well-paying job.
His mom walks into the house and gives Zack a hug, all the while smiling. Zack, unused to this behavior, asks, "What's up?"
His mom replies, "I can finally help support the family."
Zack walks up into his room and, content with how he has helped the world, begins to mull over what he can do next in his own life.
