Jenny then splashes Julia and giggles. "Oh, you little..." Julia begins to growl before she gasps and jumps back when she sees just what the child splashed her with: A long, pink shimmering fish tail; curled forward in a manner no person in a costume could hope to mimic. "Y-your a...a... m-m-m."
"Mermaid?" Jenny said.
"MERMAID?!" Julia shrieked.
"All my life." Jenny said. "I can become a mermaid if I put my legs in water. Then, they go back to being legs when they dry. Neat, huh?"
"Uh, y-yeah, that's really something." Julia nervously replied, still not quite sure what to make of the fact she was seeing a real live mermaid.
"You look like somebody who loves swimming." Jenny said.
"Well, yeah. I mean, I'd say I feel at home in the water, but something tells me that more applies to you."
Jenny giggles. "Well, since we both have the same idea, let's swim together." she suggests, pointing out the bathing suit Julia's wearing.
"Sure, why not?" Jenny swims out ahead, and Julia wades in.
