As the ring slipped into Kelly's hand she pulled away. "Mommy I'm going to go play okay?" She said. Luckilly they'd reached a small park. Katie nodded and sat down on a bench. Kelly dashed off just out of sight and crouched down breathing heavilly.
"Oh god, she made that wish...." She thought to herself. "I hope it didnt stick." She slid the ring onto her finger and watched spellbound as it shrank to fit.
"Okay, i wish I was a grownup again." Nothing happened, the ring didn't even warm. Kelly's heart froze. "I wish I was my old age again!"
Again nothing happened. Kelly slumped back and tears came unwilling to her eyes. "Oh nooooo...." she whined.
"Kelly? Kelly?" Katie's voice rang over the park. Kelly's heart skipped a beat. She had to keep trying, find some way and hope that the ring still worked....
"I wish...."
