“You know, maybe I should call Evan Lawson and see if he knows of any good military schools around here.” Martin said. He and Melissa climbed into bed, drained of what little energy they had left. This wasn’t the worst Monday they’d ever had, but it was up there. Which really said something about their marriage.
“I second that. Hormones or not, what she needs is a good kick in the pants. Unfortunately, I don’t think military school would have any effect on her.” Melissa sighed. She was too tired to walk back downstairs and sleep on the couch. At this point she didn’t care where she slept, so long as she got some sleep.
“Maybe, maybe not. Either way, I’ve had it up to here with her. It’s one thing to sneak out, it’s another to lie to our faces.” Martin fumed.
“You caught that too huh?”
“Hard not to. Either Julie has a new perfume, or she was in the lake tonight.” Martin said. While mer weren’t good with scents, there was one they could all recognize. Moon Lake’s namesake. Julie might have time to dry herself off, but the smell of the lake water still clung to her skin.
“I don’t think grounding her is enough.” Melissa said.
“No, but what can we do? We both work, and have other problems to deal with.” Martin thought back to Alyssa with a twinge of fondness and stress.
He hadn’t a clue what he was going to do about her. Even though Julie had no relation to Alyssa, the two were very alike. Martin knew Alyssa to be very “open” in terms of who she slept with and the frequency at which it happened. Julie wasn’t too far off (though Martin wasn’t sure if Julie was open enough to try girl on girl).
He didn’t even realize Melissa had any interest. Tonight’s events were certainly an eye opener. For both Martin’s wife and daughter.
“I know. Don’t let it bother you right now, we have all day tomorrow to think up a better punishment.” Melissa unexpectedly kissed martin’s cheek. She wasn’t sure she was going to kiss him until her face was an inch from his.
“Goodnight.”

The next morning…
Spencer woke up to her father talking on the phone with someone from the base. She could tell based on the fact they were using military jargon.
“Wonder what’s going on. Must be something important.” she thought. Spencer tried to be as stealthy as possible, but Evan could plainly see her furry, black head sticking out of her door.
“Uh, hi Dad!” Spencer said, trying to remain casual.
“Spencer. Shouldn’t you be getting ready for school?” Evan asked, holding his hand over the phone.
“School? Oh, ya sure.” Spencer dashed across the hall into the bathroom, quickly shutting the door behind her. She pressed an ear against the door to ear, but Evan drifted downstairs to continue his call so she couldn’t eavesdrop.
“Damn. Oh well, probably not that important.” she thought. Spencer wasn’t sure at what point she’d changed, but she wasn’t that surprised. She was what her parents called a sleep-shifter. Much more dangerous than a sleepwalker. Thankfully for Spencer, she usually only did it if she was having a particularly “steamy” dream.
Which she had. With two other black panthers, who she assumed were Frieda and Eric since one was male, and the other female.
“Just be patient Spencer. You guy will get there. As soon as you deal with the Julie problem.” she said, changing back into her nude teenage self.
Of course Spencer couldn’t know what happened to the Stovalls last night. And that now, Julie was more determined than ever to exact revenge on Eric. Which meant she was going to start acting a lot more reckless, and a lot stupider.

Julie woke up with fire in her heart. She hadn’t slept well, she was too angry. Angry at her parents, angry at herself, and angry at Eric for not being as miserable as she was. The only silver lining was that it appeared Alyssa was available for some recreational fun. And if she could just get Brian in on the fun, they’d have a REALLY good time on their hands.
“He’s not going to get away from me this time. No point in taking my time. Just one quick scratch and it’ll be over. Although, if I do get the chance, I’d rather change him the old fashion way…” Julie felt herself getting moist just at the thought to taking Eric’s virginity. She’d been plenty of other guy’s first time, but never a normal’s.
“Julie Marie Stovall you’d better be up!” Melissa shouted from downstairs. Julie sprung from her bed, licking her lips. The day had so much promise. And while getting grounded until Valentines Day wasn’t exactly worth getting some cheap revenge on Eric, finding a partner in Alyssa, and sticking it to Spencer was. Just a little.
