"The Ring of Change", the label attached to the simple silver ring Jake found lying on an aisle said. "Put it on your finger, and you can change anyone with a simple touch! Just focus on the desired changes, and they will happen. Be careful: the Ring of Change cannot change its current owner."
"Nice," Jake thought. He ripped the label off and slid the ring on his right middle finger. A small electrical jolt travelled through his arm as the silvery band pulsated for a moment of a whitish-blue light. "Man, I have to try it!" he said to himself. The curiosity was making his heart pound in his chest: was it really going to work?
Right outside the shop, he saw the perfect specimen for his experiment: a short, timid-looking teenage boy standing next to the bus stop. Jake walked up to him and placed his right hand on the boy's shoulder. "Hey, is this the bus to the city center?" he asked, while in his mind he was focusing on the perfect change for his victim.
The boy opened his mouth, probably to reply... and that's when his changes started.
