It was an interesting night for Eric Anderson.
Before the Twists left, Eric cleared the air with Samantha. It wasn't that he didn't like his friends and neighbors, just that he didn't want to get Frieda Knight into trouble with any possible Statute 1-A violation, since she scratched him to start the induction process to make him the werepanther he was now.
Samantha agreed to keep that a secret between them, although if it ever did become public knowledge, Julie Stovall's actions would negate any potential charges against Frieda under the circumstances. "After all, you were willing to become a were, just your plans for how got altered," the Town Chancellor pointed out to him before they left.
Then, before Eric went up to his room for the evening, his father wanted a private chat with him.
"So, are you really taking care of two women now?" asked William, after going back over the facts concerning the unique circumstances between his son, his son's girlfriend, and their friend.
"I never really thought of it that way," admitted Eric. "I guess so. I love Spencer, she loves me, we both like Frieda, and Frieda's cool with the fact my heart belongs to Spencer. Spencer, Frieda and I seriously talked all this over first. Julie just screwed up our plans and forced our hand prematurely. But after all, both you, mom, and the Lawsons swing. So since Spencer and I come from swinger parents..."
His father could just simply nod his head in agreement, since he and Martha swung for years before moving to Moon Lake and becoming werefoxes together*. "Both ladies are taking their respective were-birth control pills I hope," said William, concerned about prematurely becoming a grandparent.
"Definitely," Eric reassured him.
To say Eric's Skype conversation that night with Spencer was... interesting would be a serious understatement. The only regret either of them had was not having any Internet contact information for Frieda to include her in their "chat".
The next morning Eric was anxious to get to school. Not that that in and of itself was a surprise to the rest of the Anderson family, since Eric was such a serious student. But Eric wanted to go between Julie Stovall not being there, getting to see Spencer and Frieda in person once more, and wondering how his "peers" were going to react between what had been going on the last two days and the fact that he was now a werepanther.
Gaining a fursona had another effect Eric was slowly becoming aware of, confidence.
Not that he was bullied or embarrassed by anyone other than Julie, but the studious bookworm usually kept to himself. Spencer was starting to drag him out of his shell, but now...
In his normal form, Eric found his clothes were a tad tight now that he was a were; but Martha promised to take him shopping this coming weekend, so he would just have to grin and bear it for now.
The Ben Twist car pool service stopped to pick up Spencer. By mutual agreement, Ben, Nate, and Ben's boyfriend Alex Ramsey* let her and Eric share the back seat that morning with Alex, while Nate rode up front with Ben.
"I don't need to pick up Frieda too, do I?" Ben asked casually as he pulled away from the Lawson house.
"No. She has her own ride to school," was all Spencer would say. Neither of them actually had a class with her, but they would see her in the hallways throughout the day and Eric shared Freshman lunch with the werepanthress, since Spencer was a Sophomore.
She and Eric held hands, sat close, and chatted about stuff for the remainder of the trip to Moon Lake High. By mutual consent during their Skype chat anything truly private, like scheduling their next rendezvous with Frieda, would remain strictly between the three of them alone.
As they got out of the car in the student parking lot, Spencer pulled her boyfriend aside and whispered in his ear, "Do you know how sexy you are Yin? If I could, I'd take you right here and now."
"Maybe it's just my new were libido, but I've always wanted to do that Yang," admitted Eric, using the pet names Frieda suggested for them between Spencer's black fur and Eric's white coat in were form. "But now we can, and a whole lot more. Life is great!" he added, before passionately kissing her.
Spencer anxiously returned that kiss, and gave him many more, until Eric felt Nate tug on his shirt collar. "Come on Romeo. Break it up or you two will be late for first period," he said, as the early warning bell rang, declaring it was time for all students to get to class.
With that, Spencer and Eric just smiled at each other as they held hands and walked into the school building.
