Benton pulls back into his garage. Just as the garage door closes he sees Sheriff Cooper turn his cruiser around and drives back to the town proper. Despite having his estate just outside of the town limits, Benton knew better then to aggravate the sheriff after his blow up at Tachibana headquarters. Bad enough he let his emotions run unchecked after losing close to a hundred million in a failed takeover bid. Benton will have to soon answer to the were-council over his nearly public outburst while in his fursona.
Despite being a member of the were-council, even Benton knows he has little pull over trying to bury the issue. The best he could do was lessen his punishment. Since everyone knows that he and Daisuke have a rivalry bordering on thermonuclear warfare, this latest episode will not go well; unless he is able to intimidate a few of the other members. Thinking who to first contact, he nearly collides with Jeffery the butler.
“Sir is anything amiss?” The butler responds professionally.
Benton in no mood to talk just punches Jeffery knocking him down as he storms to his dressing room to change outfits. Several servants help to render aid to Jeffery as Benton walks out of view.
Upon reaching his dressing room Benton rips off his already ruined suit and blows up. Shifting into his were-panther form he starts tearing up many more suits, not caring that each one was handmade custom design from Italy. Throwing vases and other objects, It’s not lost upon the entire house hold the master is furious. None dare to approach except for Benton’s wife Amanda.
She hears the commotion from her sitting room and storms in to see her husband moved beyond destroying his dressing room but has also started savagely destroying the nearly priceless object in their master bedroom. She whistles shrilly and Benton turns around to see Amanda clearly not amused.
“Are you done venting?” She yells, clearly not afraid of the ten foot were-panther staring her down.
Benton just looks at her and then shifts back to human. Completely nude he grabs a bathrobe and states, “I’m just getting started.”
“And I’m ending it, husband,” she snaps back. “You want to destroy something, than do it elsewhere.”
Benton breathes heavily for a few minutes before he kisses his wife and heads to his study. Arriving there he gets on the phone to make a call to someone.
“It’s me Benton. Just shut up, listen and write this down. I want every available dirt you can dig up on the Anderson family and Lawson family. Focus your efforts on William Anderson and Evan Lawson. And George, I want that information by breakfast tomorrow morning.” Benton slams down the phone and heads to his liquor cabinet. Despite were’s inability to hold onto liquor like a normal person; Benton pours himself a double scotch neat and drinks it in on gulp. Putting the glass back down he heads back to his dressing room to look for a suit he didn’t destroy. Despite it still being early in the day, Benton still had people to meet and a daughter to pick up after school.
Amanda still standing in the master bedroom accessing the damage Benton caused sees him return.
“You going to explain what the hell happened?” She demands.
“Daisuke,” was all Benton said as he heads into the dressing room to find an undamaged suit.
Amanda follows him inside. What she sees is indescribable. Armani suits ripped and torn. Family portraits clawed and ripped of their frames. Several massive holes punched into the wall.
“I’m not in the mood to explain Amanda,” Benton speaks while finding a suit that survived his wrath.
“You’re going to explain,” She barks. “I can’t keep giving some bullshit story to the construction contractors every time you’re piqued!”
“You always managed to figure something out,” He snaps while finishing dressing. “Spin a story for this one.” Benton storms out, with Amanda in tow.
“No,” Amanda starts before being interrupted.
“Figure it out!” Benton screams. “Oh and as for diner with the Andersons and Lawson?” Benton shouts while walking back to his study, “Not going to happen!”
Benton disappears leaving Amanda shaking her head. Summoning the staff she instructs them to clean up the mess as she walks towards Benton’s study. “This conversation is far from over,” she fumes.
Benton is in his study with another double scotch in hand, when Amanda storms in. Benton notices his wife bust in gulps down his drink. With two double scotches already in him Benton is well on his way to being drunk. Before Amanda can get beyond the door, he throws his empty glass at her. She quickly closes the door as the crystal tumbler strikes where her head once was shattering upon impact with the door. Amanda not deterred, reenters the study and the two have a row that the entire household staff could hear.
