Damon was born into a very rich and powerful family. They basically had everything you could want. Money, authority,power,great looks,etc. Growing up he thought it was just through sheer luck that his family was so successful, but upon the death of his parents in a car accident, he discovered why.
After the funeral had ended and he had to go through paper work for his inheritance, a box was given to him signed from his parents.
