Authors Note: Trying to reference past event in chapters a couple months old can be difficult. More so when trying to hunt them down for the correct information. Please don't take offense if I made a mistake regarding Nate and Kenya's rocky relationship.
Nate was driving both Alex and Ben home from school. Despite the gym teacher warning them to knock it off in the change room; both Alex and Ben could not keep their hands off each other. They got caught trying to make out in the showers, and had to suffer through detention in separate rooms after school. This forced Nate to wait for both of them. Seeing Eric and Spencer leave together, made him shake his head in disbelief. “Why is Eric lucky enough to find the love of his life while I’m dealing with a relationship on the precipice?” It was a question he said out loud why waiting in his car during the surprise heavy rainstorm.
It was a solid half-hour after every student left when Ben and Alex made their mad dash to Nate's waiting vehicle. Both hopping into the back seat, they started back up to where they left off after their soapy shower in the school gym.
Nate feeling disgusted speaks up; “could you two not rip each others clothes off until after we get home?”
“No. Promises,” Ben states between kissing Alex.
Nate puts the proverbial finger down his throat as he sees the two gay werewolves feeling each other through their clothes as he drives the vehicle. While the drive was usually short; with the rain coming down and the lighting shooting across the sky, Nate was forced to drive a little slowly so as not to have an accident. Just as he pulls up to his and Ben’s neighborhood, there is a loud clap of thunder and the power goes out. Plunging the town into inky blackness; Ben and Alex deep within each others passion are oblivious to what just happen. Nate just pulls up to his driveway and kills the engine.
“Hey lover boys!” He shouts. “We're home!”
Ben and Alex barely pause between their kissing as they both leave via the same car door. They rush over to Ben’s home to continue their make out session leaving Nate alone in his vehicle. He sits there for a few minutes looking at his phone willing it for a message from Kenya to appear. Noticing the glow of a candle light coming from the front window of his house, Nate puts his phone away and heads inside
“Hi dad I'm home,” Nate states as he enters home soaking wet from the short hop from the driveway to the door.
“”Have a good time at school? Where’s Eric?” William responds; reading a newspaper by candle light. He is completely nude and in his fox fursona.
“School was quiet compared to the previous days. Eric is with Spencer at her house,” Nate looking forlorn.
“Why the long face Nate?” William responding while putting down the paper.
“Right now, Eric is most likely rutting like crazy with Spencer; Alex and Ben are busy riming each others anuses and the girl I have been seeing has lately been stringing me on.”
“You want to talk about it?” William inviting Nate to sit next to him.
Nate sits down and tells his father the issues he has been having with his girl Kenya Adaeze. Finding out she broke her promise to him in quitting being an escort to wealthy were’s and the fact that last they met; she saw one of her clients. What further put a damper on their relationship was said client proposed marriage to her and she hasn’t given the person an answer.
“So this Kenya, doesn’t know what to do;’ William answers.
“It would seem so,” Nate answers.
“Have you both tried talking?” William asks.
“Several, It always ends back to what her answers is. Me or him with nothing resolved;” Nate sighs.
“Then perhaps, you should make the answer for her. Instead of letting her keep you guessing. Make your move as it where;” William giving Nate a supportive nod. He gets up to head to bed blowing the candle out. Since the power went out during the storm, both he and Martha chose to make it an early night. William only staying up long enough to make sure his children arrived home safe. In Eric's case he was satisfied that he was not far; but knew that he might not make it home; despite it being a school day tomorrow.
Nate, sitting in a dark living room thinks on what his father said; he gets his cellphone and texts a message;
‘Kenya despite the fact that you have lied to me before with you choice in employment. I still held out hope that we could repair what we once shared; I have given you time to make up your mind. It is clear that you need help in deciding. While I will always enjoy the time we had, I cannot keep waiting for you to come around. Please don’t contact me anymore. It is over between us. I hope you have a happy life with the person who proposed to you.’
Nate hits send and then writes out another text;
‘Liv. How are you? It’s was nice meeting you and your pet dog Brady a few days ago. Would you like to get together tomorrow for coffee or… Ah to hell with it all. With you being a were-cat; do you want to get together and have crazy ass sex with a werewolf?’
Nate hits send and gets up; grabbing some fruit form the kitchen he heads up stairs to bed. Nate sighs as he hears his parents making mad love, despite their best efforts to be quiet for his sake; Martha still yips with pleasure as her first of many orgasms rock her body.
