Julie was home doing homework, trying not to fall too far behind. After attacking Eric Anderson and Frieda Knight on Tuesday during lunch, she was suspended indefinitely from school pending the outcome of her upcoming assault charges. Meeting her attorney yesterday; a were-badger by the name of Brett Smithson, Julie had a sort of serene calmness about her. She felt positively jovial; with her anonymous tip to the police she made regarding the acts of Brian Walker after school interaction with Alyssa Cooper, Julie felt like she was on cloud nine. Then there is a knock to the door.
Melissa Stovall answers the door, seeing Sheriff Cooper there and explaining to her that he has a warrant to search Julie’s computer; Melissa starts to look at Julie like she did when they caught her breaking curfew. Julie wasn’t concerned; she was careful with her computer use this morning. Julie just goes back to her school work with Melissa look at her with disapproval.
Thirty minutes pass before Sheriff Cooper comes back down with a look of embarrassment on his face; Julie still showing a confused look as to why the sheriff is here is smiling on the inside. ‘Found nothing I see you toothless hound dog’, she thinks to herself. With the Sheriff apologizing profusely over the sudden intrusion he quickly leaves. Melissa just stares at Julie; “Do you have any idea why the sheriff suspected you sent an anonymous email detailing the actions of a certain were-mer?” Melissa clearly referring to Alyssa.
“No mom,” Julie looking confused; “what reason would I have to do that?”
“Revenge,” Melissa states trying to figure out if Julie is lying.”
Julie still confused and shocked, yet calm on the inside; “How would I have known what anyone has been up to. You only gave me back my internet privileges yesterday. What with the power outage from yesterday’s storm and me being here in the kitchen doing homework,” Julie tries to continue but her mother interrupts her.
“Alright! I believe you,” Melissa having to concede to Julie’s straightforward logic.
Melissa heads back to doing whatever task she was performing while Julie goes back to her school work grinning like a Cheshire cat. ‘My proxy tricks worked,’ she beams; ‘Frieda and Eric, your next, but first I need to find a way to get my ankle monitor off without anyone knowing,’ as she thinks to herself.

Sheriff Cooper felt like a fool. While he didn’t know for certain, he suspected Julie Stovall was the author behind the email he received regarding his cousin and Brian Walker; a fourteen year old were-otter. Knowing that if this were any other town; he would be forced to arrest his cousin for possible child endangerment and custodial interference, maybe even statutory rape of a minor. But this being Moon Lake, a town full of were’s; to actually follow certain state and federal laws would expose the town’s secret.
Not being able to find a smoking gun on Julie’s computer he decides to head to Moon Lake high and talk to the Principal if he would have any incite on the matter; afterwards a chat with Brian Walker as well. Knowing that the kid will undoubtedly get a sever chewing out from his mother after school; he decides to try a softer approach. He just wished he knew what that approach was.

It was nearly lunchtime for Brian; after the voicemail he received from Alyssa warning him of her cousin the Sheriff and the inevitable tanning he will soon receive from his mother, to say Brian was feeling apprehensive was a kindness. If Julie was the one that tipped the Sheriff off about their afterschool activities; how long will it take for him to suspect that Alyssa is just starting to turn him into a gigolo for her sex starved were-friends? Looking at the class clock he sees there is about twenty minutes left in class; he wants to contact Alyssa but was told not to for fear of their being too much heat.
A long and boring twenty minutes later the bell rings and Brian is out of class heading to lunch. On his way he notices Eric Anderson looking odd; not knowing that Eric received a text from his mother regarding Amanda Knight, Brian approaches him; “Eric we need to talk.”
Eric turns around to see Brian Walker; not knowing what is about to happen, Brian continues; “It’s about Julie and her obsession over the both of us;” Brian continues, “I know we have some issues between us what with you catching her cheating on you with me and all that. But I’m hoping you can look past that and team up as it were in dealing with the mermaid that has a chip on her shoulder. Is it possible we can talk during lunch?”
Before Eric can answer Frieda arrives; seeing Brian she gets slightly apprehensive until Eric speaks up; “Okay,” Looking at Brain; “I’ll hear you out. But what you have to say regarding Julie better be good.” Looking at Frieda; “My mom just texted me. She wants to talk to you regarding some things she just discussed with your mom.”
“My mother met your mother?” Frieda looking shocked.
“Apparently,” He answers; looking at Brian, “Well come along, we’ll talk at Frieda’s and mine spot at the cafeteria; less people to overhear what you have to say.”
With that the three freshmen students who are on Julie’s hit list head to the cafeteria to get something to eat.
