"Uh?!" Brian was not happy with this development, the kids were mocking him but they did appear to know what was going on he went. "Am I... am I getting younger?" he asked.
"Yes and no." said the older boy who appear to be the leader. "You aren't still far gone are you? Guys what do you say shall we tell him?" The other boys snickered, as they saw Brian getting more anxious by the second.
"Please, please, please, tell me." he said moving to the leader and slipping in the mud. He appeared to be ready to cry.
"Oh, dude relax, it was all in fun. You'll not get any younger. If you were then you'll be already a baby like those guys. I think you can blame us." said the older boy, the boy snickered and the other boys laughed with him.
"What do you mean?"
"Well you can consider our gang to be made of those that didn't want to grow up. Except we totally do. We saw you and thought that you'll be perfect. Oh what's your name by the way."
"I'm Brian."
"Too long. We'll call you Bran. I'm Sam and these are the free boys."
"What? Free bo-" they all jumped on Brian trying to shush him out.
"Not that loud!" They whispered. "We are a secret." "Wait haven't you heard of us?"
"Should I have?" said Brian confused.
"Well, this is embarrassing, I thought everyone knew." they talk among themselves.
"You know from the nursery rhyme, 'Don't play with the free boys, or you'll never be seen again.' Of course that's stupid, misleading, but help us being undercover." explained another boy.
"Never heard of it." said Brian realising that Tye's world was already pretty well build.
"Well since you are part of us, we can let you on our little secret. You see in each town we go, they all look at us as if we were nothing but a bunch of careless naked, street urchins. And by day we are. But... we are much more. Actually we should show him our base so he could understand." explained Sam.
"But, the problem is that recently a group of enslavers have taken into the area, and you know the law about 'animals in the forest', so know we have taken to stay in the wizards' town in the meanwhile, we don't want to be captured."
"Enslavers? Yeah I know about them, the fuckers grabbed me and my friends." recounted Brian.
"Really? But then..."
"A friend of mine drove them away, those that he didn't burned down to a crisp that is."
