"Hail, Princess Amber!" A familiar voice says in the doorway. It was Lilly!
You turn beet red with embarrassment. "Oh, uh... s-sorry, I..." You stammer as you start to take off the gown.
"Keep it on; you look good in it!" Lilly said as she went to the wardrobe and pulled out a blue strapless gown and took out a matching pair of arm-length gloves. "I've actually been waiting for an opportunity to wear these."
She started taking off her clothes, you look away, to give her privacy. "You know, I loved going to balls when I was a pixie;" the fairy began; "the dancing, the gowns, it's so wonderful." If one were to watch Lilly at this point; and you were somehow, quite tempted to do so; you would see her, nude, stepping into the blue gown and pulling it up her body. "Since my parents died, and I was brought here; of course I don't get to attend those kinds of things anymore."
"How sad!" You replied.
She looked over at you and giggled at you trying to avert your eyes. "It's okay; you can look now."
Seeing the fairy in her gown was a start. "That's a nice dress;" You admit; "it really brings out the blue in your wings."
"Aww, thank you!" Lilly said with a smile. She takes your hand and leads you out to a balcony, barely bigger than a patio deck. With a snap of Lilly's fingers, light emitting flower blossoms opened up, illuminating the area. After pointing to a rather out of place looking MP3 player, which was set to play Waltz music She clasps your hand and places the other one behind your back.
"I've... never danced with another girl before." You said, nervously.
"Don't worry, I'll lead." Lilly answers. The music starts up.
As you and Lilly begin your dance, you spend your time taking in your partner's features. Her shimmering solid sapphire eyes, the subtle sparkle of her wings in the flower light, the cute twitch of her pointed ears, the elegant curls of her antennae; she was a vision of grace and beauty to be sure.
When the music ended, the two of you gave each other a curtsey. "You're a great dancer, Lilly." You said.
"Thanks," Lilly responds, "you're not so bad yourself, Amber!" The two of you approach one another, Lilly takes your hand and is about to escort you back inside the tree, when suddenly...
