Tom the Reporter left the Seattle PD after getting some valuable information about Lionel Ulysses from the police chief. Apparently, the man had grown up in a small town called Moon Lake, at town few have ever heard about, but why was that? Countless questions about Ulysses and the town floated about in his brain. Hopefully, they'd all be answered sooner or later, but for now, Tom had to get to his editor.
Pulling out his phone, Tom scrolled through his contacts and tapped the one for his editor. He waited for a few seconds before the phone was answered.
"Hello?," his editor asked.
"It's Tom," Tom said, "I've been doing some research about the Lionel Ulysses thing, and I've found out that he grew up in a town that few people have heard about called Moon Lake. It's not far from Seattle, and I've thought about taking a little trip there to do some digging."
"I don't see why you're still pursuing this," his editor said, "It seems like a wild goose chase to me."
"Don't you get it?," Tom asked, "There's a HUGE story that's happening right under our noses! If we don't get to it first, other people will!"
A sigh could be heard from the other side of the line.
"Fine," the editor said, "If you insist on following this case, there's something for you to check out. Apparently, someone found the tail of the so called 'rat man' right outside the warehouse."
"Thanks," Tom said, "I promise that we'll get our biggest story yet from this."
