Abigail Brown's exposure to the the mutagenic virus, now being referred as the Animalia virus, should have ruined her life. Before, she was a 14-year old girl with blonde hair, brown eyes, and a budding figure getting ready for her first year of high school. But after being exposed to the bodily fluid of her uplifted stallion, Samson, Abigail had been transformed into an anthropomorphic horse with a far more womanly body. The light brown fur on her body did nothing to hide her muscles or her curves. Most people would assume this would destroy any chance she had of having a normal life and would likely be spending the rest of her days as a lab experiment.
But fortunately, the scientists and government agents who had been running the project that had created the Animalia virus were a lot more open-minded. The other uplifted animal were being given the chance to live like civilized beings as they followed the Ten Edicts of Animalia. Abby was being treated no less specially for having been originally human. In fact, she was getting a bit more special treatment as she and her parents were owed a lot of compensation; not only because of what happened to Abby, but for all the livestock that could no longer be sold for meat.
The first thing Abby got was a complete wardrobe update. She was far too large for any of her old clothes to possibly fit her, but the government was able to supply her with all the clothes she could need. Quite a bit of her new clothes had to be custom-made considering that few women were ever as tall, well-endowed, or muscular as she was now. Not to mention holes had to be made in her various pants to accommodate her tail. Normal shoes were, of course, an impossibility, but she could wear rubber horseshoes that could allow to walk around without wearing down her hooves or leaving scratches in the floor. Her room also need refurnishing, namely getting her a bed that can support her weight and occasionally, Sam's weight.
Surprisingly, Abby's parents didn't have many problems regarding Abby being with Sam. There weren't that many anthro horses around and Sam was a very friendly guy, even if a little on the uneducated side. However, they were very insistent that Abby not be anywhere near Sam (or any male at all) when she goes into heat. They were not wanting to have grandchildren too soon and they were still adjusting to the idea that any such offspring would be a colt or a filly.
And slightly to Abby's chagrin, her parents still insisted she attend high school. She may look like she's a young adult, but she still only 14 and she needed to graduate from school like everyone else. The fact that she was a horse as well only added a few rules for her to follow:
1. She must treat herself like she has a bad cold. She must follow all sanitary rules to prevent accidentally spreading the Animalia virus to other people. That meant continuous disinfecting of her hands, sharing none of her food with anyone else, as well as other basic rules to prevent her infectious saliva or mucus from getting on anyone else. Her other bodily fluids were also to be kept quarantined, but there's less of a chance of them infecting others.
2. Any bullying she received because of her altered state must be reported immediately to a teacher or a principal. She must resist the temptation to physically retaliate. Not only would it be wrong and worsen relationships with the citizens of Animalia and humans, but considering her considerable muscle mass, she could cause some serious injuries if she hit someone.
3. She is expected to work just as hard as any student. Accommodations could be made for her if her size gets in the way, but she shouldn't be using her condition as an excuse to get out of class work.
When the first week of school came around, Abby was filled with a mix of worry and excitement. Animalia was no real secret and everyone at school will know about her. She just hoped that she'd able to have fun in school as much as the other kids. So when the first day of school came, she approached the school doors with the anticipation of any freshman, even though she was an anthropomorphic mare.
