Samantha Twist hopped in her car and hurried over to the Town Hall as fast as she could legally and safely drive. The whole incident with Lionel Ulysses accidentally exposing himself as a wererat while fleeing from the police put weres in general and Moon Lake specifically in potential danger.
If someone should figure out were-beings existed, let alone that the town was a long established sanctuary for such creatures....

MEANWHILE...
Blissfully unaware of the Seattle situation, Nate Anderson and his boyfriend Alex Ramsey have finished cleaning up from their late breakfast outside their tent pitched on the shores of Moon Lake itself.
While currently in their human forms, the two 16 year old high school Junior Class werewolves sat and discussed their future.
"Don't get me wrong," Nate said to Alex, while reaching out to grab his hand, "I love the idea of us getting married someday, let alone all that other stuff. But other than the fact that I do love you Handsome," he added, using his pet nickname for Alex, "I prefer to be surprised about when some of it, like us someday adopting whoever that little girl Alice, actually happens."
"That's just how these alleged prophecy dreams, for lack of a better name, work. When a were has a question about their future that's troubling them, somehow they see a glimpse of what will eventually happen to ease their stress," explained Alex.
"First one you've ever had?" asked Nate, to which Alex simply nodded his head affirmatively. "Me too. What do you think triggered it? Our trip to the college's open house Friday?"
"Probably. Wondering about our future, at least professionally, after graduating high school is stressful enough for any teenager," conceded Alex.
"True," agreed Nate. "Whether were or human, you're still talking decades of life unlived ahead of us. Before the trip there Friday, there was only one thing I was absolutely sure about concerning my future. Who I want to spend it with," he said, before leaning over and kissing Alex.
"Me too," confessed Alex, eagerly returning Nate's attention.
When the lovers lips parted, Alex said to Nate, "As enjoyable as that is, we're too public out here even if we go back in the tent to continue. This time of year I doubt there's any outside normals around, but why take the risk?"
"Agreed. So what do you want to do? We still have hours left before you have to take me home and we get ready for school to resume on Monday," said Nate, while looking at his wristwatch.
"Well, I would suggest a swim, but that would mean going back into the tent to change clothes and I honestly don't think I could trust myself if I see you naked again right now Stud," said Alex with a smile, while using his pet name for Nate.
"Me neither," admitted Nate, while reaching down to caress Alex's shorts covered penis that was having a hard time trying to stay in his clothes. "Want to go for a nice long walk?"
"Good idea, and maybe if we time it right, we can get home for some private intimacy before having to part company," suggested Alex.
"I'd love that," agreed Nate, while standing up and stretching for the trek ahead. "By the way, if in our future you turn out to be the one who pops the question to me, my answer will be a resounding yes."
"Ditto," said Alex with a smile, before grabbing Nate's hand and leading him into the woods.
