Kellie had to think fast. If Katie found out about the ring, she'd be toast. She could always just wish Katie was unaware again, but that seemed kind of unfair right now. She kind of wanted to see what happened.
"Yeah! Isn't it cool," Kellie said. "I'm getting younger!" She did a twirl, grinning.
Katie wasn't amused. "This is serious mommy! People don't just...grow up or grow younger! Something's going on."
"Well is it a bad thing Katie? I mean...look how pretty you are!"
This stopped Katie. It was true she was older, more beautiful. But wait...she saw her ears. "Mommy..." She realized, remembering. "I'm too young to have earrings..."
"Not anymore," Kellie said. "I said so!"
"Yes but... its the magic that's doing this! We have to stop it, turn back."
"I don't want to though, I like being young." Kellie said.
Kellie had enough. This wasn't going to just be a game anymore, she wanted to have fun. "Yeah well I wish you were the older one, so I don't have to be the responsible one!"
