Curiosity is too much, and you head home to examine your treasures. Marcy is likely to want something you would rather keep - better to go through and pull what you want first. As soon as you get home, you lay your purchases out onto a table and start sorting. The lady must have added some things, because there are objects you do not remember putting in the box. The animal masks are amazing, very detailed and lifelike. You are sure any of them would sell for hundreds of dollars. The clothing is also valuable - antique uniforms for kids and adults, some formal wear out of the 1930s. She must have stuck in some of the kid's clothes - no way you would have bought underwear obviously stained with urine, or the diapers.
The jewelry was really interesting - you can't tell what might be real, but the metal is heavy and the leather and jewels are very old looking. There are a couple of large jeweled pet collars, so big you wonder what they might fit. There is even some sort of fancy silver bar that you think might be a bit for a horse. Some antique kid's games and books look like fun, even if you have never heard of any of them before.
Marcy would go crazy over the old stuffed bear. It is a little dusty looking, but very realistic except for the size. Somehow, it seems friendly. As if a toy could give out emotions. You snort and scan the rest of your loot. An old Polaroid instant camera that looks to still have some film, a toy Indian tomahawk and warrior's headdress, a baby doll with pacifier, and some glass formula bottles rounded out your haul.
Then you notice a folded piece of paper. Opening it, you find a handwritten note. "Enjoy your purchases. Most are magical. All will change your life."
Magic? Right. The old lady was having a laugh at your expense. What is magical about dirty underwear?
