"I'm going to go clean myself up," said Chloe. "If anyone asks, I'm in the bathroom."
"Okay," said Joanna, watching Chloe leave.
Thirty minutes passed, Joanna sitting at her desk and droning away a seemingly endless stream of paperwork and emails. At first, she took only passing notice that Chloe had yet to return, but as the work dragged on, she grew more and more worried. Finally, she couldn't take it any longer.
Standing up, she exited the office space and trotted past the receptionist desk to the bathroom. As soon as she opened the door, she found Chloe lying unconscious on the floor, arms and legs limply splayed and both heads turned to either side, weakly breathing in unison.
Joanna gawked, then rubbed her eyes, and did a double take. Chloe had two heads. She didn't know what to do.
