The whole time Luna was recharging her powers in her office, her secretary Serena was filing reports outside in the next office. As Luna soaked in the moonlight, her gossamer dress and light hair seemed to glow with power. She sighed, as she always enjoyed this part. It was time to recharge.
Meanwhile, Serena finished filing the last of the reports. Then, thinking she was alone, she went around the office, turning off all the lights and setting the security alarms. When all that was finished, she was left in the dark office, with no light except from the moon. She went to her desk to grab her coat, but stopped when she saw a silvery glow emanating from underneath Luna's office door. Puzzled, she bent down and put her fingers in the light. She was instantly filled with a warm sensation of power that flowed through her body.
Now puzzled beyond belief, she got up and quietly pulled open the door to Luna's office just a crack. Peeking in, she was shocked at what she saw. An extremely beautiful woman was floating in a jet of moonlight. Her light hair and dress flowed around her. She had beautiful, shimmery wings her eyes were glazed over with godly light from her recharging. Luckily for Serena, she had her back to the door as she floated.
Serena shook her head and closed her eyes, expecting the whole thing to be just a vision from over exhaustion. But when she opened her eyes again, she was shocked to see that the godly woman was still there. Not wanting to be caught, Serena closed the door to the office as quietly as she could. But, much to her horror, she closed the door a little too quickly. It slammed against the frame as it closed, making a loud clattering noise.
Luna sensed something was wrong from the moment she started recharging, but her suspicions were more than confirmed by the sound of the door. Shutting herself out of her trance, she turned to the office door. "Who's there?" she called out in her deep, godly voice. She really hated being interrupted while she underwent the ritual. It always took tons of convincing (and even a little magic) to make the person believe they had been hallucinating.
Meanwhile, Serena realized that Luna had seen her. Now terrified, she searched around the dark office for a place to hide. She managed to dive behind a nearby desk just as Luna pushed open the office door and glided out. "Reveal yourself immediately and I may show you mercy!" Luna cried, before gliding among the desk and cubicles, looking for the intruder.
Even while she was angry and on the prowl, she was devastatingly beautiful. Serena nervously watched as Luna turn down a nearby row of cubicles, still being able to be seen where she went by the silvery moonglow that surrounded her wherever she went. Looking to her right, Serena saw the door to the stairwell. Looking up, she saw Luna was about to turn the corner and come back into her viewpoint. She wondered if she had time to escape down the stairs before Luna saw her.
