BACKTRACKING...
Alex Ramsey and Nate Anderson were riding home together in Nate's car, after having served after school detention together at Moon Lake High School.
"That was an hour of my life I'll never have back," commented Alex once they were off school grounds. "Definitely need to be more cautious showing signs of affection to your loved one in that place, but where did they find that teacher? The 1920's? Just because I playfully slapped Ben on the ass* when we were parting company after second period, I get detention. But at least it was for just today."
"Be glad your's is over. I've got the rest of the week for playing hooky last Friday," commented Nate. "At least I got some of my homework done in there."
"Yeah. A threesome huh? Ben and I have had a couple at a few of our pack gatherings, because the two of us aren't the only gay werewolves in Moon Lake. They can be fun with the right person, but mostly we prefer to be by ourselves," revealed Alex. Although we've both wondered what it would be like with you if you weren't straight Nate, he thought to himself.
"Well, except for some of her weird interests, Liv Robinson is pretty good, and having Jean Talbot join us was a complete surprise. Not that I'm complaining, mind you," said Nate with a smile.
"Hey, if the shoe was on the other paw, I probably would be smiling too," pointed out Alex. "But I've known what was in my heart for a mighty long time, and ever since I first met Ben back in elementary school, he's the only one I want to be with long term."
"I understand. Truthfully? A part of me still misses Kenya, Kendra, or whatever her real name is," admitted Nate. "I just wish things would have worked out better between us than they actually did."
"Yeah. Tough break. So. You and Liv or you and Jean?"
"Right now, it's looking like maybe me and Liv, if we get things worked out, like toning down her... weird interests and learning a little manners in the process. Offering Ben a chance to have sex with her was not only totally out of line, but caught me totally by surprise as well."
"I understand. It was made out of ignorance, not any kind of bias towards those of us who prefer our own genders compared to what is considered 'normal', especially in light of the fact that she apparently swings both ways herself," pointed out Alex.
"Yeah," was all Nate said.
The two remained silent for another block or so, then Nate asked, "Ben wasn't hurt by Liv's actions, was he?"
"Not that I can tell. We've talked since then, but we haven't had any private time to be together yet," replied Alex.
Nate thought about it for a moment, then said, "So... you and Ben. Out of curiosity, have either of you actually thought about ever being with a woman?"
"Me? No. Him? The subject's never come up before Liv's offer. At least, he's never said anything before telling me about his encounter with her. Why?" asked Alex.
"Just curious. The look on Ben's face when Liv spoke made me realize that it never crossed his mind before at all to find out what sex with a female might be like, yet that couldn't of been the first time a girl's ever asked him about it either. Could it?"
"Don't know. Like I said, the subject's never come up before. Have you ever thought about what sex with another guy would be like Nate?" wondered Alex.
"Truthfully? Only once, back in Minnesota," admitted Nate.
"Really? Why? What happened?"
"One time at the mall, I happened to see two guys kissing in the food court and started wondering what it was about two of the same gender that attracted each other. After all, my mom's bi, so it's not like same gender sex is a foreign concept to me. But in the end I knew I liked females too much, especially considering I was already sexually active with them, to ever have any interest in a guy that way," explained Nate.
"I know the feeling. The moment I first saw Ben, despite our young ages, something inside said he was the one for me, and I've been enjoying the fact I was right ever since," said Alex with a smile. But if you ever want to find out how the other half lives stud...
It was only another block or so until the Anderson and Twist's houses drew near. All Alex would have to do at this point was walk over the hill behind his friends' places to reach the back door of his house but instead, after Nate parked in the Anderson family driveway and Alex got out of the car, he started walking toward the front door of Ben's house.
"I want to visit and see how Ben's doing," said Alex. "The last thing I want is for him to think he got me in trouble with that detention issue today, and I do want to see how things are concerning his run in with Liv yesterday."
"Well, if necessary, I'll not only apologize to him again, but I'll make sure Liv does as well," promised Nate.
"I doubt that will be necessary, but I'll tell him. See you in school tomorrow Nate."
"Night Alex," replied Nate, before the two friends parted company.
