Opening the box reveals a plastic bag with a note stapled to it. You take the bag and note out of the box and begin to read what is printed.
The note reads, "Congratulations, you will enjoy the contents of this package for as long as you wish. There is only one basic rule, and that is to have fun and enjoy the wonderful opportunities you can have with what is inside this package."
The package is not fancy, a plain box and a large ziploc bag. You hold the bag up, and rotate it so you can study it. It's a softball-sized lump of blue children's clay, like playdoh. It's been a while, and playdoh is anything you can imagine. You take the clay out of the bag and roll it around in your hands, making a ball. You drop the ball on the floor, and to your amazement, it bounces right back to the same height as your hand.
"Flubber," you think. You then flatten the ball and drop the clay pancake on the floor and it hits with a plop, and now sticks to the floor.
"Not flubber," you think again. Still, you are intrigued. The note and the bounce along have you curious. You peel up the flattened clay and hold it in front of you. You make a ball again and drop it, and again it bounces right back to the same height as your hand.
You put the clay on your counter, and flatten it out, then wrap it around your hand, like a ball. You then raise your clay covered hand and tap it against the counter. The clay does give, but your hand bounces up. You leave the clay on the counter and turn to walk away when you hear the clay hand shell roll hit the floor, and bounce until it hits the opening where your hand was and rolls toward you. You reach down and pick up the hollow clay ball, and when you put a few fingers inside the hole to pick up the clay, it seems to slide on it's own upwards and encases your hand and wrist.
This is when you freak out and grab the clay and sling it off your hand and across the the room. It does not bounce back as it was deformed from its ball shape when you pulled on it and lands in the doorway to your bathroom. Something is definately going on with this clay. You have to get a shower as you are still wearing the clothes for the last two days. You walk past your bathroom door looking down at the clay as you walk into your bedroom, wondering just what that stuff is.
