Rachel and Carmen both walked out to the grass. Rachel called his name and asked him to appear. Marty had met Carmen before; she was cool but still the typical girl friend who would talk shit behind his back. He remembered one time when he was arriving to meet Rachel and heard her and another girl commenting on how she was better with Chad. Rachel’s ex was the douchiest douche on doucheland, how could they say that.
Marty gained courage, he took a deep breath to calm his nerves – which resulted in his throat inflating. He jumped on the log onto the tall grass and to the grass. Carmen laughed as soon as she saw him. Marty got up on two legs and walked as best as he could.
“Woah…the most ridiculous things keeps being the goatee” she snorted.
“Hello, Carmen. It’s a chintee, actually.”
“I’m joking “she said. “Rachel already explained me what happened; this is actually something I’ve studied while an anthropologist, Marty”
“Can you fix it?”
“I don’t know. But I may try to. I believe you were either the target of a curse or the magic awakening of something” she explained.
“Didn’t get the last part” he honestly answered.
“Me neither. I’ll still figure it out, meanwhile you can stay with us” she said.
The trio walked then towards the house where they would stay. Carmen opened the door, she got in, Rachel then…Marty got a glimpse of the well decorated room with folklore objects.
“Oh, Marty, hum…We have a pool in the garden; I think you might be more comfortable there” Carmen commented before closing the door.
“What the…this is like college all over again!”
