As you walked downtown you came across a newspaper, most likely thrown away by someone who couldn't bother to recycle. You pick it up and read several of the articles. At first nothing too interesting, politics, gossip, a couple of car accidents here and there.
What caught your eye however was of a article telling about the opening of a new prison several miles away where you lived. According to the article, a estimated amount of about a hundred prisoners would be transferred to the new jail by the end of the next week.
You keep reading as an idea pops into your head. Why bother looking for prey in a giant city when you could easily find your target at a massive prison instead. You start growing hungry as you begin to imagine the prison as a massive soul eating buffet.
As you read, you felt the presence of a evil soul drawing closer and closer to you. Asia drew nearing you could feel its intentions. It was planning on mugging you and then killing you afterwards. Then the killer would do the same thing the next day, repeating in an endless cycle unless he got captured.
You kept calm and decided to keep reading, interestingly enough you found an article about a several killings committed in a dark alley in the local area. What a coincidence.
You kept reading as the killer went behind you and pressed the tip of a sharp dagger into your neck.
"Drop the paper, don't scream for help, and follow me into this alleyway over here. If you try and run, it's all over." a gruff voice behind you says.
You drop the paper, and obeying his commands you follow his directions into a dark alleyway. You could smell the evil coming off this man, it was sour and bitter and reminded you slightly of brimstone.
"Now, give me all of your valuables , and quickly." The man says, his dagger still at your neck.
This time, instead of obeying him, you snap your fingers, and feel a rush as you rip apart your illusionary clothes and human form. You struggle to contain a fierce roar as unholy strength floods through your vein. As you transform into your fox form, your fur almost seems to glow as you stand there in the dark alley.
The man shrieks and attempts to stab you with his knife, you quickly dodge him however and with your right hand you place your massive paw on his shoulder. Then with you other hand you shove a clawed finger deep into his chest. As you do that, red light begins to flood out of the man's eyes and mouths as you begin eating his soul. You watch him as he starts to transforms.
However, this time his transformations was different from others you seen before. Instead of turning into a smaller and weaker version of you, he became much different. While he still had some canine features, he was very avian. His fur became a dark blood red, and his feet were more bird like as two giant red feathered wings grew out of his chest. His muzzle turned into a large beak, the tip of it being covered in a coating of poison.
Your brain while taking a moment realizes what happened. Demons were all classified into seven different types, one for each of the seven deadly sins. It seemed that because of this man's brutal killing, he had become a wrath demon. However despite this interesting surprise, it wasn't enough to save him.
The new demon barely had time to register his new form as you throw him into the abyss. Watching him fall into nothingness.
You let out a a large satisfied burp as you especially enjoyed the taste of the man's soul.
