Rico was the last to arrive at Thad's house. Bruno, Rick, Monroe and Thad were all there loading Rick's car. It was compact convertible.
Rick handed Thad the keys, and shouted, "Shotgun!" So he was letting Thad drive for the first leg of the trip, and sitting in the passenger seat. That meant Rico would be jammed in the back seat with Bruno and Monroe. Bruno leapt into the backseat behind the driver, and patted the seat next to him, and said, "Rico, you're next, then Monroe." Due to his size it went without saying that Monroe would have an outside seat. He weighed 350 lbs, and was a lineman on the football team with Chad.
"Hey, shouldn't Monroe ride Shotgun?" Rico asked.
"I called it," said Rick.
"Hey, you got something about not sitting next to me, Rixo?" Monroe asked purposely mispronouncing Rico's name.
"No, bud. I was just thinking of you. You might get kind of cramped in the back with Bruno and me," Rico said, "But if you don't mind, I'd love to have you ride next to me."
"Hey, I'm straight," Monroe said, "You got that!"
"Sure Monroe, whatever you say." Rico shoved his pack in the trunk, and climbed in next to Bruno. He had just buckled the middle seat belt and Monroe climbed in. The shocks rocked, and Rico was shoved four inches sideways into Bruno. Thad and Rick closed their doors. The car revved up, and they shouted in unison, "Road trip!"
Only Chad knew the silent fart belonged to Rico. Why'd he have to eat beans for dinner and breakfast?
