Now Sam witnessed the sight of Alyssa’s face pushing out, well, just her jaw really that was becoming darker, small brown hairs sprouting above and below her blackening lips.
“Wh-Whaaa…?” Alyssa moaned out, her voice already gruffer.
“Uh, Alyssa?” Sam started nervously. “That’s what I was trying to tell you.”
“Tellrhg, mmeeee, whaaa?” She managed to grunt as the brown spread over her widening body.
“That’s what those crackers do. I’d forgotten about them until…”
“Yyyooooo, dighd, thiiiisssth?”
“I forgot!” Sam was shaking hard now, the sight of her shirt stretching and puffing out with Alyssa’s new fur pushing into it’s confines positively terrifying him. “It wasn’t…until after you…said…you’d eaten it…before I remembered.” He added in a stuttering voice.
“Urggghhhh…” Alyssa forced Sam’s grip off of her as she clenched her sides and dug in.
Either she didn’t realise it or didn’t care but her grasping her shirt with claws and hunching over had torn her shirt off her dark brown fur-coated back, her bra snapped off already. The pieces of fabric falling to the couch and floor as her new tail poked through the ripped-in-two pants.
At this point Sam had his eyes squeezed shut. Bracing himself for the inevitable fallout. It was only several moments later that he realised that he hadn’t been touched yet. Finally, he tentatively opened one eye to see why.
Alyssa was still sitting there next to him, staring at herself. And it was now that Sam noticed something unusual. Yes, Alyssa had the head and fur of a grizzly bear, and yes, she was larger. But her legs and arms were still somewhat like they were before, perhaps longer arms and shorter legs compared to her lengthened and widened torso but not significantly - that he could tell. Indeed, she wasn’t even that much larger as despite the damage to her shirt and pants (the latter of which she was ripping off right now) the boots that still came to her knees remained on and intact, albeit stretched and puffed. And now Alyssa rose on them and took a number of tentative steps, which Sam had to admit to himself was a little weird, seeing a bear in boots walking around their living room. But he had to ask something.
“Uh…Aly-ssa?” He started slowly, catching her attention and almost making him freeze up. “H-How much of it…did you, eat?”
“Hhhoww, mucchh?” Alyssa forced through her throat that wasn’t really built for speech now.
“The Cracker? How much?”
“Aboouuutt. Hallfff.” That explained it.
Not that Sam had a chance to voice it as Alyssa closed the gap, staring hard into Sam’s eyes as his fear escalated once more, shaking like a leaf and awaiting whatever she saw fit to do to him.
The sensation of a tongue running over his face wasn’t what he expected and even trying to wipe it off (until he found his arms pinned) he heard Alyssa speak.
“Yoouu could’vvvve, told, mrree.” She growled out, though legibly while she settled back down and pulled him into her thick chest. “Burrrhhtt. Lluvvre, it. Srro don’t, fearrrr.”
“Uh? Alyssa?” Sam was able to ask once she let him breathe easy again. One of her still-booted feet resting over his leg.
“Yress?”
“Now what?” A weak question he knew, but it was the best he could bring himself to ask.
