A dog. That's what you hear anyway. Miles away from you, you hear the faint noise of a dog. It sounded injured from what you could tell. Should you investigate? You weren't sure but it was definitely sounding as if it was in pain.
You never really got a chance to grow up with a animal, much less a pet, when you were younger, so you didn't really consider yourself an animal lover though you did feel pity for the dog. It sounded as if it was in real pain.
You decide to take a look, You run towards the sound of the dog, despite it being about seven miles away, you reach the source of the sound in less than a minute. The dog was in a clearing, devoid of any trees or major plant life other than grass. Then you saw the dog. It seemed to be a German Shepard, however it wasn't in the best of states. It's ribs were visible as if it had been starving for quite a while and it's figure was slim and thin.
However the worst was the giant bear trap that had bitten down on most of it's left hind leg. The dog saw you and this time it started crying in fear. You didn't blame it though, you were pretty terrifying.
You walked closer to the dog, and though it growled as you neared you could tell it wouldn't be able to do anything. You grabbed the bear trap and without any effort snap it in half, freeing the dog's leg.
The dog fell to the ground and tried to stand up though it barely was able to move at all.
You didn't know what to do really. Your magic wasn't specialized in healing that much. Perhaps you could bring it to a vet? But where is the question. Would it even be able to survive leaving this spot? You think, watching as the wounds begin to bleed more after you pulled the bear trap out of it's leg. A small pool of blood forming
Well you weren't a doctor but you might as well try. Using your magic, you created a piece of cloth, and did your best to bandage the wound, infection was possible though you didn't know what you could do about that. After bandaging the wound, you also summoned a large piece of cooked steak. The dog perks up at the steak and attempts to eat it but you slowly rip it into smaller piece and feed it to the dog.
The dog still treated you with suspicion but at this point, it knew you weren't going to hurt it.
For about ten days you did your best to nurse the dog back to health. Thankfully the wound didn't get infected as you watched at the dog slowly begin to recover. It's ribs began to show less and less and it started getting a healthy amount of weight. You didn't know whether or not you wanted to keep it was a pet but you decided you can worry about that latter.
You decided to name the dog....
