Despite the fact that you feel like you're trespassing, you can't help but poke around this mansion for a little while. You're confident that the owner won't mind. But first, which door to chose? There's several, all of them looking very interesting, but a glass door near the end of the hallway grabs your attention the most. You walk across the hallway, your shoes echoing off the tile floor, and pull it open.
Peeking in, you are greeted by a long, thin room with a high vaulted ceiling. The walls are painted light purple and the floor is a rich red tile. At the end of the room is a window with blue sky and clouds beyond. But what interests you about the room the most is not the interesting color scheme or the beautiful vista outside the window, but what hangs on the walls.
The walls are lined with ornate mirrors that have fancy silver frames. You guess there must be about a hundred mirrors in total. You are puzzled as to what the room's purpose is, since there is no seating or furniture of any kind except all the mirrors on the walls. You decide to explore the room anyway, because there must be something more to the room than meets the eye.
You walk past the first few mirrors without looking into them, expecting to fall into a trapdoor or something, but when no such event comes, you decide to just stop and look into a mirror about halfway down the room. But when you turn and peer into the glass, you are shocked to not see yourself, but a German shepherd, sitting on it's haunches and looking confused.
After getting over your initial shock, you raise your right hand and are surprised to see the German shepherd raise it's right paw. You cock your head to the left, and the dog does this as well. You are amused by this, as you currently assume that it's just some kind of prank, and you laugh. The shepherd lets out a very audible yip, and then begins to pant, it's thick tail thumping on the tile behind it.
You put your hands up to the mirror and are shocked to see them slide through along with a cool rushing feeling, like putting your hands through a film of water. The shepherd gets up on it's haunches and puts it's paws up to the mirror just the second you do. You suddenly stumble and fall through the mirror, yelling out in shock.
You wake up a moment later and realize you feel very weird. You whine in pain and go to get up, but can't seem to be able to. You manage to get to all fours and look in the mirror... are shocked to see the German Shepard from the other mirror looking back at you. You look back and see your thick tail wagging behind you. You open your mouth to speak, but all that comes out is a bark.
You certainly don't want to be stuck as a dog forever, so with a mighty leap, you pounce through the mirror, feel the cool rush again, and find yourself tumbling to the red tie again, as human as can be. You look back at the mirror and see the Shepard lying in a mess very similar to the one you're in. When you get up and walk to the mirror again, the dog does the same.
Shocked beyond belief, you leave the door mirror and rush down the room, looking into every mirror as you pass. You see yourself as a variety of things. A tiger, a cow, some kind of anthro lizard-like creature, a hot female college student, a dragon, a mermaid, a house cat, a king, a baby, a horse, a seal, and an anthro deer wearing hunter's garb.
There's still about seventy-five mirrors to explore, but you can't resist the temptation any longer. You decide to step through one of the mirrors and see what's it's like in a new form...
