Marty got up of the chair. Was she going to come back?
He was all naked but he wasn’t going to be there so she could confront him again, or turn him into something worse: a bug or a maggot. Martyn got up and wondered around the room, he went to the door and peeked at the other side. The woman had her back towards him and was preparing some beverage.
“She has the curse medallion…I’m good” he whispered. He wasn’t going to stay there much longer, he needed to get out as soon as possible. Before she returned to the room, he grabbed his towel, wrapped around his waist and fled trough the window. He ran down the hill, back to the bridge and the path. He stopped to catch his breathe and took a peek back at the house.
“Thanks, lady! See ya!”
Martin then made the way back afraid he’d find her. I mean if she was a witch or sorcerer she’d have powers, right?
A man on a motorcycle crossing the road stopped even without request the sight of a naked gringo was enough request. Martin asked him a ride back to the tracks and he accepted. By midnight, somehow he arrived back at the Hotel. People even without understanding a word of English would volunteer to help him out. He entered by the pool area; nearby sunset when no one was around. He was able to get back in his room where Rachel was awaiting.
She was the most happy when she saw him.
“I was so worried; I was ready to call the cops!”
Marty told her the whole story – his midnight journey, finding the woman and how he tricked her.
“Oh…well” she said. “No more swimmers’ body” her hands passed on his chest.
“Correction: no more green, moist, fly-eating swimmer’s body!”
