Back tracking a bit.
Martin read the scroll that was handed to him, just as Tachibana left the court room; Furrowing his head as he sees it’s a summons for him to appear at the council building with Julie in tow. While a date was not firmly set as too when they are to appear; Martin could only guess it would be soon.
“Martin,” Melissa asking; “is something wrong?”
“No,” Martin putting the scroll away; “It’s just a summons.” Looking at his daughter who was clearly sullen at not being the center of attention; “it states that I am to escort our daughter to the council building where they will deal with Julie’s statue 1A charges.”
“Like hell,” Julie fuming; “I’m not going.”
“You don’t have a choice,” Martin seethes; “and enough of your lip. Just because you think you are free in the eyes of the law, does not mean you are free from me or your mother.”
Julie continues to fume; being escorted by a court officer to have her ankle bracelet removed, she bides her time. ‘First chance I get,’ Julie thinking to herself; ‘I’m sneaking out to get my revenge.’ Seeing the ankle bracelet finally free of her, Julie just leaves without so much as a thank you. Seeing that her parents are waiting for her; Julie just glares as they make it clear they have no intention of letting her get out of eye sight.
Outside of the court house; Brett Smithson is doing her best to keep the press off of the Stovall’s as they leave the court house. All clamoring for an answer to their questions; Martin and Melissa remain silent. While Julie deciding to give the press what they want; ensures that every picture they take of her, has her displaying the middle finger at them.
“Go ahead and publish that,” Julie flipping the bird at the reporters as she gets in her parents car.
“Not very classy young lady,” Bret comments as she stares at her client. Looking at Martin; “I’ll call you once I get word in regards to your daughter’s witness intimidation charges.”
Martin nods as Bret Smithson closes the car door and then he drives off.

Leon Talbot and his daughter Jean quietly observe as the Stovall’s drive off.
“So Jean,” Leon asking his daughter; ”what did you think?”
“I think Mayor Stovall’s daughter,” Jean commenting; “is on a fast track to a prison cell.”
“I meant the court proceeding,” Leon rolling his eyes.
“Oh,” Jean responds; “not as exciting as depicted on a t.v show.”
“They never are,” Leon answers; “but Bret Smithson and Jack Johnson do seem to be evenly matched.”
“No,” Jean states; “Bret should have lost. She only got her client off because the sheriff and the prosecutor made several procedural errors.”
“True,” Leon escorting his daughter back to the car; “If it wasn’t for that, then Julie could have been remanded for the duration of her trial.”
“Not unless Bret managed to get a plea deal for her client,” Jean the first to reach the car.
“Doubtful,” Leon unlocking the doors; “but let’s not dwell on it. We have a Shelby Cobra to restore.”

Samantha Twist; just finding out about Julie Stovall’s acquittal through a twitter feed, shakes her head in disgust. Seeing the uncensored photos of Julie’s rude gestures, fills the town chancellor with revulsion.
“What an ill-mannered child,” Samantha putting down her phone. Getting back to work; Samantha fails to notice the wer-mer representative approach.
Andrew coughs to get Samantha to look up; “sorry if I’m disturbing you chancellor, but there is a matter we need to discuss.
“It’s not serious is it,” Samantha looking concerned.
“Well it will give you a headache,” Andrew chuckling as he sits in a chair in front of Samantha’s desk; “You should be the first to hear this.”
“Hear about what,” Samantha looking worried.
“Martin will be taking over as wer-mer rep on the council,” Andrew stating; “I’m stepping down sometime after the new year.”
“But Martin is the mayor,” Samantha looking stunned; “he can’t be the were-mer rep while in office.”
“Never said he was going to stay in office,” Andrew grinning.
“Then who will be mayor in the interim; “Samantha asking?
“You,” Andrew smiles; “as the town chancellor, you act as the deputy mayor at times.”
“That is only when Martin is away on town business,” Samantha responds; “You’re asking me to be mayor for the remainder of the term.”
“It’s only for ten to eleven months,” Andrew gets up; “and who knows. Perhaps you’ll like it so much, you’ll seek reelection.
