Doctor Frances Twist hisses as her father Joseph Carter gets up from the seat he was sitting in and approaches the daughter he once disowned.
“Answer me,” Frances doing her best to hold back shifting into her Fursona in front of her receptionist Rudy; who was the only normal in the room.
“Your mother wants to see you,” Joseph struggling to speak the words; “you and your…. Spouse.”
“Abigail wants to see me,” the anger in Frances rapidly disappearing; “when?”
Joseph looking at Benton Knight; grumbling that this large man was present when he chose to show up at his daughter’s place of business. “Later this evening; I’ll be in the hospital chapel praying while you talk.”
“Is Samson also coming,” Frances looking at her father; “or is he still disowned after bringing me to see mom last Monday?”
Joseph doesn’t answer; he just leaves the office. Benton looking confused; he looks at Frances who is clearly distraught.
“Your family issues pale in comparison to mine Benton,” Frances composing herself; “but still I’ll see you Friday next week.” Looking at Rudy; “hold all calls; I need to be alone for an hour or two.”
Benton looking dumbfounded as he collects his coat and walks out the door; heading to the elevator just as it opens, he once again runs into Joseph Carter as he enters the elevator. Being in close proximity with the bearded man; Benton was able to tell the man was a were-dog
“You must be proud of your daughter,” Benton trying to make small talk; “what with her thriving practice.”
“My daughter is nothing more than a disappointment,” Joseph silently reciting the lord’s prayer; “she chose to defy me by living in a sinful relationship.”
Benton presses the stop button on the elevator, halting there decent to the ground floor.
“Look,” Benton staring at the were dog; “whatever issues you have with Frances, shouldn’t be the sole reason you want nothing to do with her.”
“And what do you know about my issues,” Joseph not intimidated with the man in the same elevator as him.
“I have a daughter,” Benton staring at Joseph; “I love her very much. Despite the fact that she is bisexual, yet that doesn’t mean I have to spout religious nonsense just to justify my views of marriage.”
“Then you raise your daughter your way,” Joseph having to look up at Benton; “let me raise my family my way.” Joseph Carter tries to release the stop switch on the elevator but Benton stops him. Growling; Joseph stares at Benton; “remove your hand or lose it.”
Benton just glares at the small man; with his shoes already off, Benton shifts into his were-panther Fursona. Bulking up to ten feet; Benton had to hunch over as he stares at the were-dog who was already feeling intimidated thanks to Benton’s large stature.
“Whatever issues you have with your family,” Benton growling; “you better settle them. I will not have my therapist unable to treat me effectively because her father wants to shove religious dogma down her throat.”
Before Joseph could answer, Benton flicks the switch to get the elevator moving again; reverting back to his human form; Benton smiles as the suit he wore was one of the two Frieda got for him from Awareness on Sunday. Looking at his feet and sighing as he sees the socks he put on shredded beyond repair; Benton collects his shoes as the elevator opens and he walks out bare foot and humming a random tune.
Joseph who was white as sheet upon seeing Benton’s fursona; makes the sign of a cross as he mumbles a few Hail Mary’s.
‘Who the hell are you to tell me what to do with regards to my family,’ Joseph thinks to himself as he follows Benton from a distance as he leaves the non-descript office building.

Benton feeling somewhat happy after successfully intimidating a were thanks to his size; hopes into his town car and muses to himself. “I wonder if Awareness sell socks,” Benton looking at his bare feet as he quickly put his shoes back on.
“Perhaps I should head over and see,” Benton turning over the engine; “I should pick up a few more of these suits while i'm at it as well.”

Back in Frances’s office; Frances locks her office door and removes her clothes. Shifting into her fursona, as she struggled to hold back the urge to lunge and attack her father when he showed up when he did. Frances’s takes her phone into her paw and starts sending a text to Samantha.
‘Please come over ASAP. Father showed up just as I finishing up with a patient. I need you.’
Hitting send and thinking for a moment; Frances also sends the exact same message to Samson her brother.
“I need to talk to you both,” France looking worried.
