I decided to be cautious for this first change. I mean, this was really cool, but really scary in a way. And I didn't want to do anything too drastic until I got better idea of how things worked. I went ahead and edited the information.

The program was smart - as soon as I changed my birth year my age changed on its own. As soon as I entered the change, some more options also popped up: Adjust Reality, Aware, Durationand . I guessed adjust reality meant that my being 10 would be normal. And aware was probably me knowing I was changed. I selected both. Duration - how long the change was for? I set it for 1 day. If I liked this, I could always do the change again for longer, right? Then a button appeared on the bottom - ACTVATE. I got up and went over to my dresser to look at myself in the mirror, then pressed the button.
I felt dizzy and disoriented for a moment, and had to grab the dresser top to steady myself. Except that my hand hit one of the drawers - the top was now a lot higher than it had been. My mouth fell open as I discovered I was looking at the boy I'd been in 4th grade! Shaggy haircut, prominent front teeth, skinny and weak looking. Damn! I'd forgotten how small I was when I was ten. Then I noticed the stuff on my dresser. Action figures, some comic books, some gaming cartridges. All familiar, and a few had still been stuck on shelves in my room before. But as I looked around, the posters, pictures and other stuff were mostly different. Some Pokémon stuff, even a battered stuffed Mickey Mouse doll from when I was really little.
Had I gone back in time? No, the computer was still the new one Mom and Dad had gotten me. And the flatscreen TV was on the bookcase, along with my game consoles. A lot of the games were different, though. Kid stuff. My Halo games were gone, along with all the other violent games. It looked like I had kid stuff only. Which made sense, I guess. That was when I suddenly realized my phone was gone. It had been in my hand! I looked around the floor and my bed, but no phone. Then I remembered, I did not get my own phone until I was 14! And the Chronivac program was on my phone!
