After talking for a while, Tad stood up from the table.
"Well, it's getting pretty late," he said, "Amy and I have to get our homework done, so we better get going."
Amy nodded and stood up next to Tad. "I agree," she said, "Thank you for having us Mrs. Teller and Mrs. Teller."
"It's no problem," Vivian said with a smile, "in fact, why don't you two get your backpacks and get in the car. Karen and I will drive you two home."
"Are you sure?," Tad asked, "We can walk home. There's no need to drive us."
"Nonsense!," Karen said, "It's no trouble at all. Now come on, grab your backpacks and we'll get in the car."
"Alright," Tad said, "Thanks grandmas." Tad walked over to where his and Amy's backpacks were and picked them up, carrying them into the garage where the three women were waiting for him.
Vivian got into the driver's seat and Karen got into the passenger's seat, while Tad and Amy climbed in the back with their backpacks.
"Alright you two, are you buckled up?," Karen asked.
"Yes Grandma Karen," Tad said, "Don't worry."
"Alright then," Vivian said, pressing a button on the garage remote to open the door. She drove the car out of the garage and out onto the street, where she turned right and drove towards the Decker house.
