James woke up when the sunshine hit his face. He was now living inside an excavation in a rock, by the water. It was a great location, the floor was muddy with leaves covering it, he had space and just nearby there was an anthill he'd terrorize every morning when having his breakfast.
That day he did his normal routine - streched his muscles with a quick swim, had his crunchy spicy ants and once again started swimming trying to meet his pals in the other point of the pond. They used to hang out on a point rock, chatting, helping other frogs when needed and eating. In his way he thought about Kayla, it was the first time in a week he had remembered her. He knew she was a beautiful woman and somehow she was linked to him, but James didn't remember already that he was once a full grown man and she turned him into a frog. He was thinking about it, trying to figure out why he was thinking about that girl when..." WHAM!" he hit something. James dove and came back above water with his webbed hand petting his own head, he opened his eye to see another frog he had bumped.
"Are you alright? I'm terribly sorry?" he croaked.
"I'm fine!" the frog croak, a sweet, calm croak. She was a female frog.
"Oh...I wasn't paying attention to the water."
"That's fine. I don't know this place either, I'm new in the Pond" she said.
"Oh! Then let me show you around when you're open. Like an excuse for the accident" he smiled.
"That would be nice. Thank you! My name is Lisa, where can i find you?"
"Right in that rock over there. I'm James, by the way. Nice to meet you."
They separated and each one went on his life. James reunited his frogs pals and told them about the girl he met. They obviously joked around how he had fallen in love and was going to have tadpools in the spring, just like Todd. (Todd was one of the guys, the biggest one, his froggirl was already pregnant). It was by the end of the day that James egearly came home to find Lisa at his door looking around. He apologized for being late and they began chatting. She was new and had come from a river nearby, she was living with her frog girl friends in a hollow log. James invited her for a dinner and took her to a rock near the tree where fireflies used to swarm at night.
"I love fireflies" she croaked winking at him. All night long they spent flipping their gooey tongues to catch bugs and watch the stars. By the end of their meeting he took her back to his log.
