"I ain't taking no for an answer, man," said Jared. Paul felt Don's body jostle and sway, and suddenly there was rapid movement.
"Come on, man! Let go! I can't go right now!"
"Sure you can, Donny. You should see the fine babes they got goin to that party, and Crenshaw says they got some powerful grass, too! How can you turn that down?"
Paul wanted to yell and scream for his son to resist, but he was afraid of being discovered by any other giants, especially a party animal like Jared seemed to be. He couldn't believe Don could be so irresponsible, though.
He had no choice but to believe it when he was suddenly assaulted by monstrously loud sounds coming from all directions. They'd entered the party! Giant voices whooped and yelled, music blasted louder than the loudest concert speakers could project.
"Come get a joint and relax!" he heard Jared say over the riotous din.
"Nah, man, I gotta go to the bathroom first!" replied Don. Paul felt his son's hand close reassuringly over his body through the pocket. Then there was more movement that came to an abrupt stop. "Oh no, a line," his son said, probably for Paul's benefit.
"Then just go home!" Paul screamed in unheard frustration. Instead, he listened to Don start a conversation with the guy in front of him in the bathroom line.
What a nightmare!
