"That's wonderful" shrieked Juliana's mom over the phone. "You're going to make such a beautiful bride! I can hardly wait to meet this Millie! And now that they've figured out how it works, you can finally give us grandchildren!"
I wonder if I was trans all along, just suppressing it, Millie was thinking. Was that why I could never form a relationship, why I gravitated to a field dominated by women? Is that why it feels so natural to be a woman, like this is who I was always meant to be? I guess I'll never know now.

Allison was pleased to discover that she still liked sports, that she was an individual, and not a girly-girl stereotype who would only pretend to like sports to please her boyfriend, or butch girlfriend in this case. That being said, Katherine, Logan and Allison were all a bit stunned at how much of a disaster for baseball the great change had been. The female pitchers had a great deal of difficulty getting the ball over the plate with any zip, and the hitters were challenged by both their diminished physical strength, and the fact that none of them were used to having breasts. When they did put the ball in play, the fielding wasn't great either, particularly when the fielder had to make a long throw. Running had probably changed less than any other part of the game, but the players were still significantly slower. While Allison and Logan admired the spirit of the players, there was no question but that the game of baseball was due for some changes.
"I'm thinking of going out for the girl's basketball team" said Logan.
"That's a great idea" said Allison, happy whenever Logan showed an interest in the future--she was still worried about her girlfriend's self-destructiveness.
Katherine also approved. She was a little disappointed that her original idea of a parent-child outing had been altered to essentially tagging along on Logan and Allison's date, but that was the kind of thing a parent of a teenager had to get used to. She was very happy about the relationship itself. Alan had always seemed to be one of Logan's more responsible and caring friends, and despite the obvious differences between Alan and Allison they still seemed to be the same person underneath. A blind woman could see that those two were good for each other, and she would never stop being grateful to Allison for saving her daughter's life. Below that candy-pink exterior, Katherine thought, lay a core of steel.
Allison snuggled into Logan's arm.

Another cop came up and whispered in Amy's ear. The match was positive, the woman stabbed to death in the house was the post-Great Change form of Sean Franklin Myers. I hope the bastard died a slow and painful death, Amy thought. She knew she shouldn't tell Shelly that her "master" was dead until she had received a thorough psychiatric evaluation. No telling what effect learning that the one constant in her life over the last ten years was gone by her own actions would have on her now.

"There was something I was thinking about that disappearing car" Martha said "But now it's gone."

Whatever their differences, Robbie and Elizabeth were united in their love for their child. "Mommy and Mom are having some problems right now" said Robbie "But its just because of the Change is all. Things will be fine once I get used to being a girl and Mommy gets used to me being a girl. We both love you very much and we'll always be here when you need us." She kissed her new daughter on the top of her head.

Maybe, Robbie thought, I'm just being selfish. I know I'm a ridiculously hot piece of ass even by the high standards of the human race as currently constituted, but does Elizabeth feel wanted? She's stuck in a world of unbelievably hot women, just as an average, good-looking woman. That was her choice, but she must be scared as hell of losing me. I'd know I'd be, if I was married to me. And even though we had a pretty equal marriage, I was the one who usually initiated sex as a man, it's not like Elizabeth has much practice being the aggressor, which is why she's so bad at it.
Billie was playing at Sammy's house, his best friend from school. Elizabeth was watching TV, a news report how the Great Change had affected the Israel-Palestine conflict (surprisingly little).
Time to try the sexy lingerie that appeared in my dresser during the Change, Robbie thought.

Stunned, Regina and Aziz watched Jean make the wish that had transformed them, and billions of other men, into the beautiful gay women they now were. "Huh" said Aziz "That's all it was--one incredibly powerful ring, and one woman who didn't like men very much. I guess I should be glad she didn't wish us all dead." She shivered.
