Karen figured she'd start small. One of those mini-volcanos that kids would make for science projects should be a good place to pick back up at. She started looking around the lab for the right chemicals to create one. Unknown to her however was that her husband had mislabeled many of his chemicals and supplies to confuse anyone trying to steal his research.
During her search of the lab for ingredients Karen found a few small water dispensers. Karen failed to notice that that they were actually filled with different virus and bacteria prototypes. After finishing her creation and placing the water and baking soda inside, Karen ran into the house to get vinegar. She returned a minute later, pulled her goggles on and poured in the vinegar.
Karen watched excitedly in anticipation of the eruption but nothing seemed to be happening. Slowly she leaned over to get a good look inside the makeshift mountain.
SPLAT! SPLOOSH! KA-PHOOM!
Her volatile solution exploded in her face! Gasping for air, Karen wiped her face trying to remove the goopy mess.
"What was I thinking?" Karen asked herself, feeling embarrassed and glad that no one was around to see that.
