"The lake might be my best bet." Colin told himself.
Lake Norris was a large body of water, and there were special cabins set in the middle of it. His dad had planned to stay at one this weekend with his son on a fishing trip. The keys were already waiting for them before this madness happened. He could get the keys, hijack a boat, and hide out in one of the cabins.
"Perfect plan" Colin said to nobody in particular.

After and hour of walking, he found himself at Lake Norris. The place was usually crowded, filled with the sounds of children and vacationers. But everything was quiet. Too quiet. Colin stealthily crept along the sides of parked cars, looking around in the hopes that a bimbo wouldn't spot him. He was down to two bullets from his last reload and only nine extra bullets left. He picked up a nearby rock and tossed it at the ground, and waited for a few minutes. Nothing happened.
