A lone werewolf deep in the woods of Washington State sniffs the air; letting the wind carry the scents of woods to him. After spending a good thirty minutes scouting the general area and satisfied that there are no normal or other weres that could possibly interfere with what his Beta has planned; he quickly runs back to the gathering of werewolves milling about the two van transporting prisoners.
“All is quiet in the woods sir,” the werewolf scout speaking; “no scents other than the natural wildlife present.”
“Good,” Beta one speaking; “bring out the prisoners; it’s time we get this started.”
Two werewolves, each heading to a different van, collect both Alyssa Cooper and Julie Stovall. While Alyssa has managed to remain calm throughout the trip and the recent howling the werewolves utter moments ago. It was Julie who looks completely terrified. Her pants wet at the crotch and inner thighs as she clearly wet herself in pure fear. The werewolves noticing the smell of urine; inhale the scent determined to lock onto her scent as one werewolf deftly picks the lock on her handcuffs.
Before Julie could process what is about to happen, a large werewolf looks menacingly in her eyes.
“You know who I am girl,” the werewolf grins.
“A bully,” Julie putting up a brave front; despite it being false bravado.
“No,” the werewolf grins; “I’m the Beta of the Luna Brotherhood. And you are our prey.”
“Prisoner,” Alyssa shouting before a werewolf's paw envelopes her mouth and silences her.
“You’re going to give us some sport,” The Beta grins; “before we take you back to the Elder Council.”
“And what makes you think I’m going to give you that,” Julie answers.
“Because if you don’t,” the Beta signaling the werewolf holding onto Alyssa; “we rip the throat out of your friend here.”
Julie looks at Alyssa and shrugs her head; “then consider your bluff called. I’m not-“
The Beta nods and the werewolf holding Alyssa snarls and bites on Alyssa’s throat. Throughout the forest, one could hear a blood curdling scream and then sudden silence. Julie watches as Alyssa crumples to the forest floor; blood rapidly pooling around the prone wer-mer as her body stares lifelessly back at Julie, as Julie stares at the gaping hole in Alyssa's neck that once had a larynx, windpipes and major blood vessels now completely severed.
“I wasn’t bluffing,” The Beta answering; “and since both of you managed to pick the locks on your handcuffs and escaped. It gives us cause to chase you down.” Looking at the wer-mer, “we’ll give you a thirty minute head start. If you can get to Moon Lake’s town line before we catch up to you, then you get to be captured by the Sheriff and his deputies.”
“Beta One,” a werewolf looking at the belongings of the now dead Alyssa Cooper; “you need to see this.”
The Beta grumbling as he heads to the werewolf that killed Alyssa and looks at what the werewolf is holding. The Beta grabbing the object sees that it is a photo of the dead wer-mer with a larger man in a police uniform. The name tag displaying Cooper and below that a Sheriff’s badge; on the reverse side is a note in cursive ‘Alyssa and Douglas Cooper May two thousand one.’
“Fuck,” the Beta responds; “the dead girl is related to the sheriff.’
“Problem,” Julie grins; “your carefully laid plan just kicked you in your furry balls?”
“Silence the minnow,” the Beta snarling; “I need to think here.”
With Julie being dragged back into a van to be re-secured; the Beta speaks up.
“Alyssa Cooper was tragically killed while escaping custody.”
“Just how do you intend to spin that to the Alpha,” Beta two speaking; “and to the Sheriff?”
“I’m working on that,” But before Beta One can continue to think; all look up to hear a low howl in pain and the van Julie was tossed in drives off.
“Well,” Beta Two looking surprised as the van drives off; “it’s looks like we got our hunt.”

Julie struggling as the werewolf who is stronger than her drags her back to the van; trying to wrench herself free from the grip the were has her in, Julie flails about like a fish out of water. Whether by skill or pure luck; Julie somehow manages to kick the werewolf where all males are weak, his balls. The werewolf howling in pain as Julie manages to break free; she hops into the driver’s seat of the van. Seeing the keys still in the ignition she turns the engine over and put the van in drive. Witnessing her parents drive the family car in the past; Julie slams on the gas pedal and drives off like bat out of hell. The werewolf that Julie kicked stumbles out of the van; still wincing and whimpering in pain.
Despite never driving before; Julie had to admit she was doing quite well on the logging road she was on. Not knowing where it led or the fact she was driving way to fast; Julie was lucky to survive the tree she plowed into after overshooting a turn. Thanks to the air bags that deployed on impact; Julie was only momentarily dazed. Hearing the howling off in the distance; Julie knows that the Luna Brotherhood would soon be giving her chase.
“In for penny in for a pound I guess,” Julie swears to herself. Looking around the crashed van, Julie sees a large hunting blade that spilled out of the glove box. Taking the serrated blade and leaping out of the smoldering van; Julie runs off into the woods, just as the van explodes in a fiery conflagration.
As the werewolves run to the burning van; the smell of smoke masking Julie’s scent, while they rush to put out the fire. Not eager to have a forest fire; each werewolf helps to smother the flames with snow and wet dirt.
Beta One snarls; “this is not exactly how this was supposed to go down.”
“We still get some sport,” Beta Two answering; “but going back to the dead Cooper.”
“Get me a cell phone,” Beta One barking; “I need to call the Alpha and inform him of the situation.”
