Damon's parents led Damon down to the basement where he was surprised to find an entire section of the unfinished basement sectioned off with a large steel bar cage. Attached to the cinder block wall were a pair of heavy steel chains, with a handcuff on the end of each one. Damon looked nervous and hoped that they would hold him.
The sound of the doorbell chiming broke the tension filled silence as Damon's parents looked at each other. It was almost sundown, whoever that was had to go away. Damon's Mom went upstairs as Damon's Dad led Damon into the cage. Damon quietly stripped out of his clothes as his Dad got the chains ready.
Meanwhile, Damon's mom opened the front door to find Nate standing there. Nate and Damon had been friends since childhood and were normally very close. But she couldn't let him stay now, couldn't let him see Damon like this.
"Nate, what are you doing here?" asked Damon's mom.
"I was just wanting to talk to Damon. I saw you come home with him."
"He's helping his Dad with something tonight. How about I have him call you tomorrow."
Nate nodded and walked off, thanking Damon's mom. He could talk to him tomorrow. Besides, he was busy that night anyway. Busy being an awesome werewolf, thought Nate as he ran back home. The sun was beginning to set after all. Nate ran into his house and saw a note on the kitchen counter. He picked it up and read it.
Nate -
Your Dad and I are going to a party at the Thompsons and will be out until quite late. We'll most likely see you in the morning. Have a good night!
Love,
Mom and Dad
Nate smiled at the note. How fortuitous that he would not have to account for being gone for the night. He ran to his bedroom and began to pace as he watched the sun going down from his window as he paced in anticipation. It started with a sudden jolt followed by a couple more as Nate dropped to his knees. His skin felt like it was on fire as his fur began to grow in. He watched as his nails slowly grew out into sharp, thick claws. He quickly pulled off his clothes as his body grew and reformed. He knew he had to get out of the house and forced himself to stand up and stumble through the house as the changes intensified. He cried out as another wave of changes caused him to land up against the kitchen counter. He cried out as his back muscles grew and reformed and his chest began to barrel out. He walked over to the patio door, opened it and closed it behind him just like the night before, winding up on the deck as the last of the changes overtook him. His face pushed out into a lupine snout as his ears grew to points, shifting up his head. The wolf had now taken over completely.
