Allexia smiled slyly as she took the book from the librarian. Her compulsion had worked again. If she looked deep into somebody's eyes, she could make them do anything. Nothing big, of course, but it had gotten her that precious book. She technically was stealing it, and as she walked she read through it. She made sure she'd never have to return it. Her witch's hat hung over her head. Cliché, but these days it looked like a fashion statement anyway. She had never had access to this much power.
When she got home, she envisioned her perfect world. She used her self-writing quill (old-fashioned, but pretty), writing on normal paper a rough draft. Then she began to work.
For many days, Allexia wrote within the book. She'd made sure to write that her changes wouldn't take effect until she erased a certain phrase.
Finally, after working hard on every aspect she wanted changed, she turned to the phrase she'd written, and crossed it out. The deed was done. Her perfect world was created.
As the book closed, she took out her magic mirror, and surveyed the changes. Allexia was very, very happy with what she saw.
