She smiled, as she replied to his message, "I'm actually hiking this weekend, but maybe next weekend?" she said as she prided herself on continuing on this journey.
She drove to the start of the trail and parked her car. She looked up at the mountain, it was truly daunting, but she'd been preparing for months so she knew she was ready. The only thing that made Elisa nervous was the reports over the years of hikers going missing when they went out by themselves, but she was confident that she knew her limits.
She started the trek, and it was tiring. She had only made a few miles before she had to stop for a break. She decided to camp for the night and rest. As she was sitting by her campfire, she noticed near the clearing of the forest someone watching, with very weathered clothes and a hiking backpack. She looked like she had been lost for days. As Elisa made eye contact with her, she ran off into the forest. Elisa was worried about her, "Maybe I should go check on her.." she thought to herself.
