A week later, Drew was nervous, he was sure Eric knew what he was doing, but what if something went wrong? He wanted to interview Eric for an article on his blog about life after death. Did rabbits go to heaven? What happened?
He knocked on the door. No answer. He turned the handle and stepped into the room.
"Hello? Eric? Jeff?"
There was no sign of any living thing in the room. He heard a noise coming from the closet. He opened the door, and saw a human shaped hiding in the back.
"Eric?" he asked cautiously. Something had gone wrong. The word ZOMBI formed in Drew's mind as he inched away from the closet.
"Dr-r-r-e-w-w?" hissed a voice that Drew didn't recognize.
"Y-y-es?" Drew answered uncertainly.
A hideous snake man stepped out from behind the clothes. Drew gasped and pissed himself.
"Dr-r--reww, it'ssssss mee!" the snake creature said with its tongue rapidly darting in and out of its mouth.
"Eric? Jeff?" Drew said uncertainly looking around the room.
"Ye-s-s-s-ss-s," the monster answered.
"Which?"
"Both. The Chronivac tried to turn me human, but I was in Jeff," he began, then he paused and began again, "Eric wasssn't even half digessssted when the Chronivac tried to change him back, but he was inssssside me, and my sssssnake form wassss permanent. Now I'm fussssed with rabbit boy and am this hideoussss human-ssssnake monster." He jerked his head suddenly, "Hey, I'm the one who's sssstuck with you. Drew you got to sssseparate us," another head jerk ,"Or at leasssst make usssss all ssssnaky again?" "No, I don't wanna be a ssssnake!"
"Uh, right. Calm down. I'll see what the Chronivac says." Drew sat down at the computer, and stared at the screen. Then he started to type.
