Thankfully, none of the demons seemed to have seen you as you escaped from Enven's once grand temple, which is now nothing more than a burning pile of gravel and ash. You doubt those demons would leave any trace behind. The question is, how and why.
Enven before he died was a powerful mage, atleast from what he told you. He had said there was a powerful barrier surrounding the temple, one so powerful that even a demonlord would take a while before he could break through. Was Enven just lying or did something else break the barrier? You didn't know, but right now more pressing matters were at hand.
You felt grief at Enven's gruesome death but you knew something was strange with him from the start. The morbid part of your mind quietly thought that perhaps the demons had saved your from another fate, but what's done is done.
What matters now is what you are going to have to do. Returning to Graven was risky, you could potentially bring danger to him but, Graven was also a demon slayer. Your last meeting while quiet wasn't the most friendly, Graven while not outright saying it had inplied that if they ever crossed paths as a demon again, Graven would have no choice but to fight you.
Not to mention the fact you could potentially go into another bloodlust you had during your visit to Redbelt. Enven's magic aura had been able to stave off your demonic hunger, but now you could go crazy any minute. All you had on you were your sleeping clothes, not much for traveling, perhaps you could go back and try and scavenge anything you could find at Enven's destroyed temple? Maybe you should just head off into the wild and find another town? You did recall there was a small town to the northwest.
