Tad sort of stood still in a surprised sort of stupor as Amy walked forward toward their bus stop. The one thing that repeated in his mind was what she had finished with, which was "our kids." They had enjoyed each other's company and while Tad might not be very experienced with regard to sex, he didn't think he'd done too badly as Amy hadn't raised any major complaint. However, that didn't necessarily mean that Tad felt he was ready to be a father and he was certain that his mother would kill him if he reported that he'd gotten Amy pregnant. Amy's saying "our kids" left him surprised and pretty much dumbstruck. He stood still just watching Amy walk toward the bus stop with his mouth hanging open in surprise.
Eventually Amy noticed that Tad was no longer next to her and turned to look back to Tad. She had a bit of a smile that looked rather playful smile on her face as she did so.
"Are you coming with me?" Amy asked with a smirk.
"Uh... yeah," Tad snapped out of his stupor fora moment and jogged a few steps to catch up with Amy, "something you said just surprised me."
"Oh, and what was that?" Amy smirked.
"You said when OUR kids transform," Tad spoke.
"Yes, yes, I did," Amy nodded, "What did you find surprising about that?"
"We're only eighteen..." Tad spoke, "or well... at least I am. We're too young to start a family now! And I'm pretty sure my mom would kill me... to say nothing about your father!"
Amy's only response was to chuckle at that. The two of them stopped walking for a moment before Amy rested her hand on Tad's shoulder as she continued to chuckle, looking down for a moment. When she looked back up to him, her smirk was not only still there but was now larger.
"You didn't think I am actually pregnant NOW did you?" Amy asked with her smirk still there.
Tad blushed a bit.
"I'm still on my pill and I haven't missed it," Amy answered, "because my folks would probably kill me too. My point was in the future. We grow up, get married, have a good job somewhere... it doesn't have to be in Moon Lake if that's where the job is and then we begin producing a whole bunch of puppies."
Tad gave out a heavy sigh of relief, "You were talking about the future... Sorry to freak out on you..."
"It's okay," Amy smiled, "You looked rather cute when you did."
They walked along with a more relaxed sense, now that Tad was certain that his girlfriend wasn't pulling a huge surprise on them. They could soon see the bus stop and saw Amy's younger brothers already waiting with a few other students. As they approached, another question came to Tad's mind.
"I know you said its about the future..." Tad began, "but don't you think that it might be a bit early to actually start planning out for when we're parents, right?"
"If it's actually planning names, where we'll have them, and all that stuff, sure," Amy smiled and then gripped Tad's arm as they walked along, "but if it's just limited to some day dreams of a nice future with a nice boy... then I don't see the problem with it."
Tad smiled weakly as they arrived at the bus stop, though only to get a couple teasing complaints from Jay and Leon. Both backed off a bit, but did stay close. Tad, noticed though, that the comments seemed designed more to irritate Amy than him.
"The downside of younger siblings," Amy groaned.
"I wouldn't know," Tad replied, to which Amy's brothers and a couple of the other kids at the bus stop laughed.
