Not surprisingly, a lot of the guests who were here for the Bassingers' after-party were uplifted horses. Allegro had also been one of the 37 stallions saved from the horse fighting ring, though being a lighter breed, he had gotten beaten pretty badly and required a lot of attention after he was uplifted. Diane was the nurse who mainly worked with Allegro. As a girl, she loved horses so much and seeing such magnificent creatures become part human was awe-inspiring. Which made Allegro's condition all the more horrifying to Diane and made her determined to see him to good health. Over the several weeks it took for Allegro to heal, he and Diane became very close in a classic case of the Florence Nightingale effect. When Allegro was finally healthy enough to leave the hospital, he had asked Diane if she could be his mate. Diane was more than happy to agree and exposed herself to his brand of the Animalian virus.
As such, it was hardly a surprise that most of the guests were also rescued stallions and their mates. For instance, both Red Cloud and Thunder were there with Delilah and Calamity respectively. There were a few human guests, namely co-workers from the hospital, but not very many because so many uplifted equines in one place raised up the chances of getting infected quite a bit. The humans would only be staying a short while. Several equine couples were also checking in to Lover's Woods and there was going to be quite a mating frenzy later.
