“So your heading to Seattle today,” Leon asking as he slices up his breakfast sausage; “Christmas shopping I take it?”
“That’s right dad,” Jean answering; “I’m going with Nate and his werewolf friends Ben and Alex.”
“And their mates,” Leon asking.
“They are each other’s mate,” Nate answering; “both are-“
“I get it,” Leon looking like he put his paw in his maw; “Drive safe, the roads can be slick with the fresh snowfall.”
“Plus,” Regina chiming in; “there is supposed to be a blizzard on its way. Weather man predicts twenty four inches of snow by eight in the evening tonight.”
“We should be back before then,” Jean answering; “it’s not as if we are spending the night in the state capital.”
“Yes,” Leon speaking up; “but it takes at least two hours to get there. You would have to leave now if you intend to get back before the blizzard fully hits.”
Both Nate and Jean are silent for a moment; thinking on what the were-lion king has said. Before they could speak up, the doorbell rings. Leon getting up; still in his were-lion fursona, muttering who it could be this early in the morning. Opening up the door he sees two sixteen year old boys, unfazed at seeing the were-lion staring him down. Sniffing the air he can tell the two are werewolves.
“Is Nate and Jean ready,” one of them speaking up.
“We need to get going if we are going to beat the storm,” the other mentions.
“You must be Ben and Alex,” Leon speaking; “give them a few moments to finish breakfast and get dressed. We are all in our fursona’s still, but come inside anyways.”
Ben and Alex enter the Talbot household to see Nate and Jean finishing their breakfast of sausage with eggs, toast and oatmeal. Seeing their black furred werewolf friend next to his tawny furred were-lioness girlfriend; her tail coiling and uncoiling around Nate’s bushy wolf tail. Both couldn’t help but smile as the two clearly in love get up to get ready. Ben seeing Liv Robinson, Jean’s were-leopard friend also at the table; Ben couldn’t help but feel a pang of doubt as to his sexuality. Still remembering vividly of Liv clearly offering herself to him; the scent of her arousal fresh and mingling with Nate’s, the air heady with the smell of sex Saturday of last week. Ben seeing the were-leopard placing a paw on the furry thigh of a clearly nervous Peter Talbot, puts the young werewolf at ease. Feeling Alex’s hand on his, gives Ben a measure of comfort as Nate and Jean reappear fully defurred and dressed.
“Like I said before,” Leon looking at his daughter and Nate; “be careful with the roads they are slippery.”
Watching them leave; Leon heads back to the table to help his with Regina clean up. Seeing his son sipping his coffee as Liv has already head back to his room; Leon sits back down to talk with the melancholy were-lion.
“Something on your mind,” Leon staring at Peter.
“Why did Jean fall for a werewolf,” Peter asking; “what makes him so special?”
“Why is the ocean blue,” Leon asking; “or why do were-foxes form a lifelong bond with their mate? Son,” Leon speaking; “you cannot figure out love, any more than you figure out the meaning of life. Jean finds Nate special,” Leon getting up; “because it’s her decision. He seems a good kid, with a good head on his shoulders.” Leon getting up, “What about you Peter? Are you and Liv getting serious?”
“We just had one night together dad,” Peter sighing; “but dam. What a night.”
“Jean said she can be intense,” Leon staring at his were-lion son; “but do you love her?”
“How would I know,” Peter speaking; “I don’t even know what love is.”
“You will,” Leon chuckling; “it’s a wonderful feeling to be mating with the one you truly love. You’ll know one day.”
“I knew when I got my claws on your father,” Regina joining the conversation; “despite his wandering eye with the other were-lioness during the pride gatherings, your father has always returned to me.”
“Or you hunted me down,” Leon grinning; “and claimed me right in front of the other females before they could feel me in them.”
“You may be the lion king in Moon Lake,” Regina growling; “but you are MY Mate. And I will make sure you never forget that.”
“That is what love is for us son,” Leon growling as he can smell his wife’s arousal; “how it will be for you, I cannot answer.”
“Yeah yeah,” Peter getting up as he can tell his parents are about to express their love for each other physically; “You’ll say I’ll know one day.”
As Peter enters his room, he sees Liv laying on his bed her tail twitching and a smile on her muzzle. Peter seeing the were-leopard waiting for him; his ears twisting as he can hear his parents growl and purr in the kitchen.
“What say you,” Liv looking at Peter; “care to have some more fun? I took my were-birth control pill just before breakfast so there is no risk of me getting pregnant with your cubs.”
“Oh what the hell,” Peter growling as he pounces on the willing female; “but I intend to make it rough for you.”
“Now you’re getting it,” Liv purring; “be my savage kitty.”

Brian was out the door and on his way to the lake just as the snow was just beginning to fall. Being a were and unaffected by the cold weather like most people; the were-otter arrives to see Patricia already lounging in the lake in her were-beaver fursona. Spending a few minutes to watch; Brian could not help but admire the sixteen year old’s furry body. Removing his clothes and quietly hiding them under a bush; he quickly shifts into his were-otter fursona. His member already engorged and on full display; Brian quietly slips into the lake. Diving and effortlessly swimming to be below the were-beaver that has stolen his heart; Brian smiles as an errant air bubble escapes and races up to the surface. Following the bubble as he swims to the surface determined to surprise Patricia.
