"How much you can change depends on how smart you are," said Ginger. "Most people can only change stuff affecting themselves, or other people if they consent. Maybe if a bunch of people all wish for the same thing, they can change it, but it's hard to get everyone coordinated. Anyway, there's a few thousand people in the world who are super-smart and can change anything, but they're not gonna do anything to totally mess up the planet, 'cause they kinda check each other."
"So true, Ginger," said a male voice from behind Jenny.
She whirled around to see yet another well-muscled, tanned male clad in a tank top and tight jeans. He was square-jawed, smiling with straight white teeth, and of course had no acne, but his eyes and nose looked vaguely familiar. "Kyle?" she guessed.
"Yep," he said. "Love what you've done with yourself, Jenny, although I've got my own situation in mind. I wish you no longer had any reality-altering power -- fun fact, I'm one of those few thousand people Ginger mentioned."
Jenny felt her stomach drop as Ginger excitedly chimed in, "He's the only one in the whole state! Isn't that great? He's why we have such a super-awesome school!"
"So I assume you're gonna do something to me?" Jenny asked with a sigh.
